Thinly veiled 'I'm going on holiday to LA' post
cool story
u wot m8?
That said, try not to get caught up with all the commercial hype around Titanfall as your sole reason to buy an Xbox One. Never buy such an expensive console just for one game. Think about the long term and what you're going to be playing on it years from now

From prison?
Why does that bother you so much... ? Is there some kind of reward for posting these deals, am I missing the point?
Its also pretty obvious that many have been waiting to upgrade their 360 for Titan Fall release and possible price drop. Guess what they were right to wait. Its now the same price as the ps4 with the best exclusive game in the launch year and you get all the extras you dont get with the ps4 like the hd kinect camera for skype, hdmi pass through etc etc.
Compared to the 360 launch the xbox one has actually outsold the 360 by 2 - 1 and the 360 is one of the most successful home consoles ever with 80 million sold.
There is not a single decent exclusive game available for the ps4 at the moment and nothing really on the horrizon. The review sites that have played a decent amount of Titan Fall have said it was amazing even half finished. With price parity and exclusives like this I would expect the Xbox One sales to pick up quite nicely over the next month or so.
You could also buy a fairly decent bicycle for the money, but why would you do that if you're after an Xbox One?
I bet you do when you realise that its not just a toy to be used in games that don't exist yet. It really is an integral part of the package. I just love the fact that i can get in from work and while doing other things i can switch on the xbox, sign my profile in, put some music on, turn up the volume on the tv and load up the game i want to play before i've even sat down and picked up the controller. Love it!
And, what gamer in their right mind wouldn't love the "xbox record that" function???
i get the impression that either people don't quite understand what kinect means to XB1 or are just repeating negative stuff they've read about.
Personally, PS Plus trumps anything Microsoft have right now, as I have 3, 4 & Vita, just my opinion, and Titanfall will run my better on my PC. PlayStation also generally have the better exclusives over the lifecycle, whereas Xbox tends to have better exclusive timed content, CoD DLC, Classic Ultimate Team, etc.
Seriously though, those who feel the need to poke fun at people due to which console they buy, should go get some fresh air.
Enjoy your Xbox One peeps.
Or alternatively just buy the superior PC version instead while saving approximately £340 in the process!
It is... but not on the Xbone.

In fact, there were many positives to the scheme, which involved 'lending' digital copies to poeple on your friends list etc for free. Being able to play on a friends xbox without having the games there, you could download it as long as you signed in etc... but the upsides were drowed out by the bad.
I'm not saying that it was overall a great scheme, but it was far from the abomination it was billed as, it had a few very good upsides, which we now can't enjoy due to the knee jerk.
All it actually needed was some balance, not the scrapping it got. If they had pulled back a bit, allowed physical game and resales as they are now, but retained the digital advantages, we could all have been a winner.
BTW, notice how Steam have just introduced a scheme like MS had planned, but with MORE restrictions, and no-one bats an eylid?
Also, for those that bill MS as the mighty anti-consumer monster, and Sony as the good guy, you seem to have very short memories, of the Sony CD root kit fiasco, where they secretly installed illegal software onto your PC to stop you making legitimate back ups of your own cd's...

Of course, because the choice of games right now leans heavily towards the ps4, right?

Your not mate, if I go for it ill be selling the code, it's nice to just play with yourself sometimes isn't it.
I like playing Gears of War, Halo, Crackdown, loved the Titanfall beta too (played on PC). Can the PS4 offer me all these? I'm not trying to bash the PS4 (unlike what you're doing) but as a GAMING system, the Xbox One is a better choice for ME. Don't make choices for others.
Can anyone at GS clarify?
Not sure which one I'd want actually, just like to know prior to ordering.
And for the Xbox One v PS4 arguement....does it matter? I have the PS4 now and I'm a bit bored as my mates are on Xbox One, as far as I can see the gameplay/graphics are identical on the 2 games I've been playing recently (FIFA and COD) so I'd rather play online with my mates.
Perhaps your decision is different if you play offline and a greater range of games than me.
Either way - my dads harder than yours.
Just the one girlfriend? Poor b*gger

720 vs 1080 isn't noticeable?

The point is that both consoles DON'T upscale games. 90% of the time the Xbox One is either 720p or 900p native and then using something to upscale the image to be 1080p. Whereas the PS4 is native 1080p and no upscaling is required.
This.
I'm hearing alot of framerate issues because the PS4 can't actually handle the games in 1080. As a PS4 owner I am disappointed with the console so far, and the line up of games coming in 2014 is pretty minimal to say the least. I've took a punt on the XB1 and going to give it a go with an open mind. I can only afford to keep one console for a short while, (keeping the ps4 for infamous at least) Just because the PS4 is better spec'd technically doesn't mean it's better. I feel like it was rushed and is a half finished product.
Message to fan boys: I don't understand all of this console war hate!
After all you guys love each other so much that you are constantly trying to convince one another to buy YOUR console! Yet you do it in such a rude way, rather than be polite.
No one respects the opinion of someone who comes across rude, arrogant and conniving.
£200? you'll be getting your xbox one in a deal with battlefield 9 then
It's pretty much only a promise they have at the moment, both of them. The games being released now were developed on not finalized dev kits, and there's a long way to go for devs to get the hang of getting out the most of the system. Think about Mantle. Raw power is not that important as people might think: Which was the most successful console of the last gen? The Wii, which outsold the other two all together, so we might say it was better than the PS and Xbox, right?
You need to know that the there's a fundamental difference between the approach of Sony and Microsoft. Sony just stays on the beaten path, not willing to take risk they released a beefier PS3, while Microsoft tries to push things forward with new services, which is MUCH needed, as the game industry has stuck in a rut now with all the sequels and unoriginal IP's (but there're more serious problems under the surface, but I don't want to get off track). The direction makes sense as the living room is still an unclaimed territory when it comes to computing: SmartTV's, consoles and such with limited PC compatibility are there, but X1 meant to be one to integrate everything you have in front of your couch, which makes a lot of sense as over 80% of the average american households spend an average of 4 freakin' hours in front of their TV's. Unlike the previous Kinect, this is some brainmeltingly good tech. IF and it's a big IF, developers jump on the bandwagon it'll give some really epic features to games (Xbox games). Imagine a scenario, where a horror game gets scarier as your PULSE goes higher and reacts to your body language. This game is actually in the making, Kinect can read your freaking pulse just by looking at you. Xbox might be the best personal trainer ever with it's help. I don't want to write an essay about it, but my point is, it's very early to make judgement.
And here's a quick list which might make the Xbox more attractive for some, all relative of course:
-More comfortable controller
-Exclusive titles / game selection
-Integration with your existing systems
-Better online services
-Kinect
