Why HDMI 2.1 on a 60hz panel? Marketing only, or is there some other benefit I'm not aware of?

So strange. When you look at the reviews I'm left confused. Which reviewed the 43" version and said it has +Content-packed Fire TV interface
    +Clean, powerful sound
+Solid picture quality for the money

Which is great until you look at Expertreviews who say the picture is mediocre at best and the sound is poor.

Which are utterly clueless. A Which recommendation means very little. So many of their reviews seem poorly thought out.

Has anyone got this TV? Any good, looking to upgrade my 8 or 9 year 1080p Panasonic. Not worried too much about the built in firestick as I have a Nvidia Shield which I use soley for viewing

If its a plasma the jump won't be as night and day as you would think but other than blacks not being as deep the image will be better.

At last, a "cheap" TV with more than just 2 input ports

Some people on here, what do you want for this money your all taking the mick but we are talking a basic 4k TV and people are expecting snapdragon cpus with 12gb of ram and 256gb of storage not to mention 120hz panels. These same people should maybe looking at £1000+ tvs then you have the right to rip but for someone that wants a basic tv for a kids room or doesnt mind a rubbish picture and poor sound this fits the bill it even has fire tv built in so no need for any extras. I personally wouldn't touch it but for the pri e it's a lot of tv so give it a break. (edited)

I thought we were talking about a 55" Television! Do you know what an inch is? Do you know what a T.V is ? It shows moving pictures with sound. If the pictures O.K. And the sound is and there's a couple of plug in bits on the back then it's fantastic value for £300. If anybody remembers in 2004 a TV like this albeit with many less features cost over £2000 I don't know how much that would be now.

we had a CRT TV in 2004,
i never got suckered into the awful LCDs that were available.

and no upgradeable ram on this tv? (edited)

Bought the 55" - it's pretty damn good as long as you turn motion smoothing (Action Smoothing I think it's called in the menu) completely off. Before that I was watching Spiderman Far From Home on it thinking "bloody hell - this doesn't look like a film".
