Any washing machine engineer here for a question?

I have an almost 10 yr old Samsung Ecobubble and lately it started making a droning noise. It’s otherwise working ok. The noise seems to be when the machine is filling up with water and then continues for a short time after water filling stops. There are no leaks or anything else amiss and it is regularly descaled.

Just wondering if it could be the heater?

I used justanswer.co.uk for my washing machine issue. Paid a man and his advice led me to my fault (clogged pipe within the system I could manually sort) £10 I think

Try briefly turning the valve down, or off while it is droning to see if the tone changes. If it does it might be the solenoid valve needs cleaning, or replacing (as you prefer). (edited)

Or you could open the draw slightly while it is filling up to check which solenoid valves are working when it makes the noise. As the prewash compartment usually turns on first, then the main wash valve switches on, it could be the main wash valve causing the noise.
