Best hotels Fuengirola/torremolinos/benalmadena?

For a young family of four, must be centrally located for beach and restaurants. Normally stay 5* but there doesn’t seem to be that option in these areas so needs to be good, modern, clean 4*.

Limited to this location as we have booked flights to Malaga, was originally staying in a private villa however this has been cancelled due to droughts in Spain as the pool is currently empty.

    Those Riu hotel's looked nice when I was there.

    We usually use tripadvisor and disregard the actual star rating of the hotel as we have stayed in better 3* hotels than 5* in the past (not every time of course), it all seems to be about the actual feedback from guests these days. You can put your dates on T/A and search then rank them by traveler ranking here we usually won't book anything less than 4.5/5 on T/A (edited)

    Maybe look at an apartment rather than a hotel on Booking.com or AirBNB. We as a family of four stayed at an apartment in Benalmadena just last week. It was about a 10-15 walk to the beach and about 25 mins walk to Puerto Marina. It was around £400 for 7 nights.
