Billy bookcase with Besta doors - hack?

Ikea Besta has some great door choices, but the frame depth is all wrong for our space.

Has anyone had success in using Besta doors on Billy frames?

Else I'll have to get Besta frames and hack 1/3 off the breadth and depth which seems a shame.
