Blink Cameras and Batteries

I have just purchased a Blink camera and doorbell set. I have bought the recommended Batteries. Non-rechargeable ni-mh. Energizer ones. Mega expensive!!

Has anyone got a Blink system? Can anybody recommend any battery alternatives. Or have any advice to offer of their experience.

Thanks

Happy Christmas, etc.

    I feel for you

Like a great simple question and pointless replies from most.

I'm in the same situation as you.

My plan is to give it a go and see how I get on. I'm fine to charge regularly to be honest.

For outside, I'm tempted to try higher capacity 1.5v batteries. Like D types in a box to see if that lasts longer.. In theory it will.

Also looking at potential solar options to provide 3volts... Most I've seen are 5v.

My cameras are arriving tomorrow so will be interesting to see what inputs and options I have ?

Ni-mh are rechargeable. Do you mean none rechargeable lithium ions?

Blink recommend non-rechargeable because they maintain a higher voltage.
But I just wanted some advice from people that have Blink and have experimented with alternative batteries

So, I have a regular push-bell bell wired to the mains. Can I use that feed to charge the Blink camera doorbell?
