Co Op meal deal with reduced price item?

Co op do a meal deal with main, snack and drink for £3.50. The rollover hot dog is included and is often reduced in price at the end of the day.

If I buy a reduced price hot dog and meal deal snack and drink, will I be charged £3.50 or will there be an extra discount due to the reduced price hot dog?

I know I could go and try, but someone here has probably tried this already.

normally a reduced item in a meal deal won't trigger the system and you'll pay for each individual item unfortunately.

Caesar salad, 473ml Red bull, ginsters cornish pasty or Gu Cheesecake . Nothing more nothing less, bosh the hotdogs out the window

And always check the co op app most weeks I can get a meal deal for £2.50 with the coupons (edited)

My choice of meal deal would be something else, but my son likes the hot dogs as a treat now and then. I wouldn't pay £2.80 for one but £3.50 (or less with coupons) including a ginsters and big red bull is pretty good value for money. Alternatively, the hot dogs are no more than £1.40 when reduced.
