Dulux Easycare Matt White Vs Dulux Trade Diamond Matt

Hi all,

Looking to do some decorating and trying to work out what would be the most ideal paint. I just want to white wash the room.

Iv narrowed it down to 2. Either the Easycare or the diamond trade. Both dulux.

Anyone have any recommendations as to what paint would be better? I want something durable that would be way to clean and wipe away marks.

Any ideas?

I use easycare around the house, wipes well.

Haha hopefully will have a few decorators comment by morning! Need some advice on this

It's the way it's made(additives)I'd imagine when I ran a pub a few year ago I had it painted in the diamond trade after recommendation from the decorator I'm glad I did every day the the cleaner wiped down the walls and it still looked new 2 years later when I sold it.

Get yourself to a brewers or johnstones decorating centre. Will be able to provide better products and usually quite a bit cheaper.

Dulux has really gone done hill by the sounds of it, currently doing my house up using johnstones trade

The dulux diamond trade is much better,but id only get if it was a pub/school/work enviroment if it was just a house easycare is fine.

Crown paints scrubbable it you want one that you can scrub, not just wipe.

Trade paint isn't just for decorators though, go too a centre and you'll get advice for nothing.

thought that was a given in this thread as the OP was asking about it. My comment was you would normally get lots of decorators commenting on the best paint, not that you couldnt buy it yourself, its sold in many places, B&Q used to have it, Costco does.

Did downstairs with trade diamonds matt on an offer here. It washes really really well. Bought another batch recently on FB. Ridiculously cheap leftovers so check that out.

Leyland Matt is the best with high opacity, I use sheen as a second coat
