They certainly know how to charge on that site. There are places on the scabby estate behind me that want more than a normal carpark, it's free to park on the road, and nowhere near anything you would want to walk too. In the town centre the parking is free, yet they demand a fortune. Great if you can get the money, but you're being mugged if you use the site
Depends...I have used it many times to find good secure parking. I live in London and sometimes having a (nearly) guaranteed spot when you arrive is worth a lot more. I generally read reviews and do streetview before booking. On a working day, spending 20 minutes hunting for parking is more expensive for me. In some areas street parking are only for 4 hours or have other restrictions.
Last time I used it, I parked right outside congestion zone for a hospital appointment. It cost me nearly the same street parking (slightly cheaper as there was no penalty for driving diesel) but it was a gated private parking with a single wide bay - so no fear of door dings or damage. (edited)
