I would say a word art mug with all driving words on and his/her name or the year of passing as the main word

    Random example

Or driving related cupcakes (random example of cupcakes) (edited)

I would suggest a dashcam. Will be a godsend if anything unfortunate should happen.

Do they have a car? How old are they and male or female?

They don't have a car yet. They're looking.

With the cost of insurance these days probably would appreciate a contribution to that :P

Find out what car they have/are getting and may be some accessories for that? Mobile phone caddy/sat nav (if they use one), air freshener etc

Good shout that. They're shopping for a car so might wait.

How much do you want to spend? Deals often come up for recovery services. The gift you'll hope they won't need

A card containing permission to put you on their policy as a NAMED driver, if you've got age and a good driving history on your side.
