Since my baby now likes to smudge my glasses 25x a day, i'm going through them quickly (i'm pretty anal about having clean specs).

I use Lidl's W5 glasses wipes, box of 50 or so for less than £2. They work really well but occasionally you get one or two that are not as moist as the others. I have used them for many years with no damage to my coated lenses.

They worked well for a while, then the newest pack I bought had so much liquid on them that it would leave tons of little liquid dots on my lenses once dried. Nowadays I just use my clothing.. My conclusion is that supermarket wipes vary by batch as well as by brand and will modify their formula a little too often for there to be a singular best, although Lidl's generally ranks the best, as far as wipes go. Chamois cloth is the best, and the only thing which leaves lenses polished and completely without residue or smears."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/50469607","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"nemesiz"},"datePublished":"2023-06-28T15:29:35.000Z","text":"Good quality Microfibre Lens Cloth aimed for Camera Lenses* are probably the best solution for cleaning dirty or dusty lenses. It is advisable never to use any type of cleaning fluid (soap, washing up liquid), except as a last resort and only if you can rinse the it away immediately with running water. Unfortunately the chemicals could damage the anti-reflective / anti scratch coating applied to the lens. Also it advisable every few days to make sure the lens cloth is cleaned thorough.
*In the past would recommend specialist lens cloths manufactured by Lens and Glass specialist (Zeiss, PENTAX etc) but unfortunately they are hard to find."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/50475903","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Scoot56"},"datePublished":"2023-06-29T14:19:41.000Z","text":"If you have access to costco they sell a spray best thing I've ever bought no streaks last for ages"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/50485197","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"DangerousBeans"},"datePublished":"2023-06-30T18:58:12.000Z","text":"I've always used washing up liquid, rinse and then dry with a tissue at least once a day and I have (or did have as I now suspect, anti scratch and anti reflective coatings)
