Got some Morrisons vouchers to use and I'm tempted to try a single malt and like the sound of Glenmorangie 10.
If like those liqueurs, would I possibly enjoy Glenmorangie or another Whisky?
Only Whisky experience is trying Whyte &
Mackay or Bells with coke, not massively keen on them. Can drink a Jack Daniels with cola but not neat.
Should I try a bottle of Glenmorangie or am I wasting my money/ vouchers??!!","comment":[{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52466661","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"aLV426"},"datePublished":"2024-03-27T01:38:09.000Z","text":"I just had a quick look at my collection and discovered an old litre bottle of Drambuie - it's going for around £100 (!?)
Glenmorangie 10 is a lot smoother than Whyte & Mackay, Bells or Jack Daniels, it could be enjoyed neat, but it's not as sweet as Drambuie"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52466731","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"RoosterNo1"},"datePublished":"2024-03-27T03:03:16.000Z","text":"Glenmorangie has a sweet, non smokey taste, but it'll be light years away from liqueurs !
A few drops of water will tame the bite, and heavens forbid you can add a mixer (but that's sacrilege to a malt)
It's not massive money, so go on treat yourself !"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52467289","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"PeacePipe"},"datePublished":"2024-03-27T08:28:14.000Z","text":"Try one in a bar or ask friends if they have a malt."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52467733","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"airbus330"},"datePublished":"2024-03-27T09:37:39.000Z","text":"If you are accustomed to whisky liqueur you'll probably find a single malt a bit of an assault on the palate until you get used to them. Particularly anything described as heavily peated or cask strength. If you want Scottish, I'd suggest buying a miniature or 3. I'd give bruichladdich Classic, Macallan Double Cask and Balvenie 12 a go. If too strong add a TINY amount of water, literally a few drops. Another alternative is the Welsh malt Penderyn Madeira cask, which is sweeter than many Scottish malts and is a fine drink."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52468053","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"DJSlime"},"datePublished":"2024-03-27T10:23:45.000Z","text":"My recommendation is always Highland Park 12, as it has a little bit of everything and it's normally on offer."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52467355","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Deedie"},"datePublished":"2024-03-27T08:40:56.000Z","text":"there is not point in asking anyone which malt you will enjoy.
