Laptop advice £500

Hi people’s

On a tight budget for sure but Looking for some advice or recommendations on a laptop as my 2011 MacBook is finally coming to the end of its life cycle due to no official available updates - I know I could side load but I’m not clever enough to do that and it’s my only laptop.

So I’m looking for some future proofing, I’d be happy with 8GB with the ability to upgrade to 16GB if needed.

Usage is general duel screening due to calls and then mainly internet browsing, office documents and streaming, I would like to start doing some basic video editing at some point so that maybe a consideration for any future upgrades.

Any recommendations much appreciated and welcomed as it seems a minefield.

Thanks.

Duel screening might be a bit of a battle.
hotukdeals.com/tag…top would be a good start.
But you have to provide your own work equipment?
Future upgrades are always better on a desktop as are multiple displays.
You are not clever enough to do software but hardware upgrades are not a problem?

Just buy a separate monitor and connect via hdmi. That's what I do as the work laptop is one of those sily 14" screens. Option of using one or both then.
