Is it extra for windows that don't smash?
$40k is £31k, not £21k

There's also 10% import tax and then 20% vat to add which gets you to 41k for the single motor poverty model!

Looks like it's from a PS1 game.
When I move to Mars this will be a ideal mode of transport 😜
That stunt cost him $¾ Billion in lost share value

It will be +£21,000 to convert it to UK road legal......
It reminds me of this futuristic vehicle.

They are even both made from stainless steel.

Fugly if nothing else - should have spent a few dollars on someone with a bit of design flair rather than worrying about the glass - I for one don't lose sleep over the ability of my windscreen to withstand any kind of impact... But I would have nightmares having to look at one of those every day
I love it!
Hard Drivin'
Polarising but look at the loading bed, passenger seats & fully covered top (I think - that's some kind of solar panel). If you are single/couple with minimalistic style of living this is a good alternative to small homes.
It wont look like that, it's only a concept, I bet in 2 years it'll look normal.
Current USD -> GBP exchange rate puts $40,000 at £30,756.80. Add on import tax and VAT puts the cost at £40958.98. Voted cold for misleading deal.
I like that he used Minecraft to design it 😁😄

I bet he wishes he had one of those after that fiasco... Unless its all part of the long term marketing campaign - do you reckon billionaires generally know what they are doing??
The on road version of the stealth bomber! Looks crap but is invisible and totally undetectable in combat - lol

I bet he doesn't care too much either way, not sure I'd be worrying about a lot if I was a billionaire
Sexy AF
Ma waens could build something better than that heap of
I guess that's just pure metal but look inside and the space available. It is beautiful. Raw stainless steel body is another advantage as we have to less worry about scratches & dents.

Which American pick-up isn't though? It's a weird market to the rest of the world. Previous premium offerings have included the likes of this

Still, it does seem like if they'd gone for smaller wheels and a lower body, more like a traditional Aussie-style ute or old El Camino it could have had much more worldwide appeal.
John DeLorean would be proud, in more ways than one.
Can't see it passing Euro NCAP pedestrian safety regs (Vulnerable Road User Protection) with that design, presumably it will be smoothed out a lot.

It will also be flippin heavy. A model S is already over 2 tonnes.

Looks like the cars I used to draw at school (junior )
I just don't understand the appeal of Tesla

Road test of Model 3. Autopilot seems very dangerous.

Are you allowed to use these cars in autopilot in the UK?
Edited by: "OllieSt" 24th Nov
Yes, I think the road markings and the kerbs are still confusing for software but I'm sure it will improve. You could always opt out & save some serious money (£5000 i guess)
