About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Seems pretty good for a Switch pre-order.
Release date 7-Nov
Appears to be the bonus version including some DLC too afaik
Picture shows Bonus edition (with DLC) but Q&A down the page says standard edition
Edit: as pointed out by KIngrat94 it seems like there is ONLY the 'bonus edition' at launch, can't find any evidence of a non-bonus-edition and the description does list some of the content from the DLC too which seems promising
Argos have now changed their minds and confirmed this is bonus edition -joanddan7

MK8D - £49.99
LoZ:BotW - £59.99
Splatoon 2 - £49.99
Mario + Rabbids - £49.99
Rayman Legends - £29.99
FIFA 18 - £54.99
1-2 Switch - £39.99
Super Bomberman R - £39.99
Disgaea 5 - £49.99
Lego City - £49.99
FE: Warriors - £49.99
ARMS - £49.99
Pokken - £49.99
Two points from the above;
1) Most games are £49.99 NOT £59.99. Which even though is still expensive, is on par with the likes of the PS and Xbox store.
2) Sonic Forces is a budget release with its closest priced competitor being Rayman Legends which is priced at £29.99 on the eshop. £39.99 is the logical price for this game, £34.99 if they are being generous and £29.99 if we are very lucky.
Stop being an arse and holding on to some sort of Nintendo bias when the facts do no support your claims.
They are giving codes to everyone though, so if you got one dont think you're automatically not getting your game.
I've fixed that statement for you. My guess is almost definitely, every 3d sonic game since Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast have been rubbish. I liked that due to the Chao garden and the little tamagotchi style side game for Chao races.
I disagree I enjoyed Sonic Unleashed, Colours, Generations even Lost World to an extent. But this has a mix of 2D and 3D al a Generations.
I watched a preview on YouTube by Gnoggin and he said he really enjoyed it, and some will disagree. But you cant said it's bad because of previews, as it's other people's opinions, not your own. (edited)
I actually really like some of the 3D sonic games. The adventure games were great for the time, but have aged really badly in comparison to Mario 64.
Generations, Colours and Unleashed (at least the daytime levels) are all good IMO, and forces looks to be a continuation of that formula... However, the level design in forces looks uninspired, the graphics look no better than the previous gen (unleashed still looks beautiful almost 10 years on), and the custom character looks utterly pointless. I doubt it will be just plain bad like Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom, but I'm not excited for it after seeing the previews.
Argos have now changed their minds and confirmed this is bonus edition
Soooo many sonic games have been ruiiined
i have a look at the demo, thanks for the heads up.
Taken immediately afaik. They did for my SNES classic anyway and I'm pretty sure that's standard

Wow least judge it when its out, I'm guessing you have played it.
No you're right - but - come back when it's out and feel free to tell me I'm wrong!
Of course some might get along, but Sonic really hasn't translated to 3D well. Track record gives us all good reason to believe it will be history repeating.
Previews suggest that's the case too. Sorry to be a downer.
Except it won't be. Not even MK8D was £59.99. This will most certainly be £39.99. Still overpriced but still.
So... if we don't get the DLC included, can we blame you? (I like to have my scapegoats lined up well in advance)
Only joking cheers that's actually really useful to know I'll update the OP I think you're correct
but shame its competing with mario oddysey (platformer) better off paying more for that unless you have the cash
Again though you haven't actually played these levels, there are multiple paths for example and you haven't seen all the levels available. I don't think you can judge it based of previews, because as I said, it is someone else's opinion and not your own.
Nonsense. You not liking them isn't the same as them being rubbish. Generations is one of the best platformers ever made.
Current gameplay, trailers and the amount of work put into it says otherwise! By the looks of it, a release tons of fans are anticipating
It will probably be £59.99 on the Nintendo EShop. Most the titles there are ridiculously over priced despite not having the overhead of physical media or having to share profits with retailers.
I played the preview build at EGX, and have seen all official trailers and gameplay videos. I can assure you that my opinion is my own, and not somebody else's.
That doesn't mean the full game won't be good though, and I hope it is for the sake of the franchise. I'm just not overly enthusiastic about what I've seen so far.
It was the opposite for me when 06 was leading up to its release. I couldn't wait for it to be released, but then it was released and it was a massive disappointment. (edited)
