sorted byAll correct. There are smoother wheels available but then there are people with deeper pockets too. I can’t rate the Wheelstand Pro highly enough. I got it from eBay for under £100 if memory serves and the wheel and pedals are always attached to it. It folds down and sits beside my side of the sofa. When it’s called into action I pull up the wheel, plug the usb cable into the PS and plug the power cable in underneath and in less than 20 seconds it’s ready to go.
It’s certainly better than my temporary solution while I was waiting for it to arrive....
I play it for hours and hours on end with no issues. Last weekend the missus was in bed with a cold so I was practically playing GT Sport for 48 hours solid. It’s also brilliant for Dirt Rally, Project Cars 2 and F1 2017. Pair it with a decent wheel stand for convenience.
One point of note is that I’ve also got the optional gear shifter which I’ve used for all of about ten minutes. Much prefer the sequential flappy paddle.
No unfortunately they each work with each separate console. The G29 is for PS4 and the G920 is for XBOX
Wow. Good price . As for above. Whilst I prefer forza to GT games personally I would go PS4 over Xbox 1 as I prefer the exclusives overall. The sweet spot imo is a PS4 (pro) and gaming pc you are almost fully covered then . The g29 works on both then too.
Xbox1 X hardware wise is tasty but naughtydog would be my decision maker. I just wish my PS4 pro had a uhd blue ray drive for movies. Sony cheaped out there imo.
PS I can't comment on psvr but I doubt I will ever play a racing game on a screen again. No going back after assetto corsa on my rift, or elite dangerous (edited)
open the pedals, remove the hard sponge under the spring.. put it back together.. bobs your uncle.
Just spent an hour investigating converters to allow me to play my Logitech Driving Force GT PS3 wheel on PS4 and XBone
Results :
Top of range (preferable if you can afford it) : Reasnow Crosshair Converter : £85 @ Amazon
Other option : Cronusmax Plus : £50 @ Amazon (1 currently left at CEX @ £35 as I've just brought one!!)
Other option : Titan One : £59 @ Amazon (virtually same hardware as Cronusmax) (edited)
Currys is better by about £1 (edited)
G29 uses gears rather than belts so is much more clunky in feedback in comparison to say T300. The stand in the pic is the Wheel Stand Pro.
Still a great wheel for the money.
Thats very true.... Didn't think of that... Just get forza for PC. Cheers matey.
I had looked ar the one below but not sue ifbit right size for them.
amazon.co.uk/GT-…F6W
simple youtube search shows step by step.
You can get a thing called GIMX adapter, for £30. It will allow you to use the G920/G29 on both consoles with full force feedback support. The only downside is that you have to have a PC close by as the adapter is also powered from a PC running specific software. A longer solution for that is to buy a raspebrry pi and have the software for the adapter run through it so you don't need a PC but I personally just have a PC running the software for the adapter.
you want the omega gt or the wheelstand pro.
Thanks for the advice. Found the Wheel Stand Pro Logitech Driving Force GT for £85 selling on alza.co.uk. Is it a good price?
i picked up a drivehub today for 40 quid from cex... keep.a lookout.
Get a GT Omega stand off eBay for £95 and you're sorted.
Use mine a lot for PCars 2, Assetto and Dirt Rally/4.
i can only see G920 in warehouse
I had a Thrustmaster TMX last Christmas and had nothing but problems. Ended up returning it. Was looking for the Thrustmaster TX but the cheaper one has cheaper pedals and the reviews say the wheel is cheap too... Have just ordered the version of this for the Xbox, G920? Pedals look good quality and the wheel seems well made too. Won’t fit my wheel stand though. (edited)
Is there any notchyness on the feedback? And what stand out that? Very convenient
What stand is that? just ordered the Omega from their site direct, but I’m regretting it after seeing yours. It looks cleaner and compact.
EDIT: Just read the posts above.
Shall I stick with the Omega? or go with the WSP? (edited)
Thanks for your comment. Torn between PS4 vr with driving games or Xbox with forza series. Cheers.
Thanks OP. 😬
Quality item and works really well. Not so good in Forza 7, but very good in F1, Project Cars etc.
I made my own stand a few years back whichever I should perfect for us, cost about £15
Great price, heat added!
Agreed, we've tested the brake pedal on various game calibrations and can only get it to about 58% power when pressing very very hard.
So I've also swapped them in our games to use the clutch.
There is a modified rubber mount you can buy to make the brake much better.
Are they easy to take apart / are there any factory seals you break by unscrewing it? At work so can't quite picture how it's put together.
Or try downloading the logitech software and set Brake pedal to 100%
