sorted byYes! Their new sims use their own software and backhaul now but its still EE masks. There were some issues with call waiting etc.. Someone in here did show how to turn it on again on an iPhone
Nope, got 3 sims on my account and it has a £125 cap on the account. its a joke.
Could you post a link to it, can't find anything!
I've been trying to find it too i know seaniboy knew some stuff about it. I'm sure he'll read this thread as his interested in mobiles etc..
The throttling is so bad around 10% of my calls didn't come through when I had full signal, then hours later you will get a message to say that a voicemail was left. It won't be long before you miss an important call, and by the time you find out it'll be too late.
I switched to ID and never looked back for £10/month (30day rolling contract not a year like Virgin), the service is miles better.
Officially no..but unofficially...
Let's just say my 20GB plan (30GB+ after rollover) is being used well when needed
Yes
Ah so that explains why I had text messages through late saying I had a missed call at 16 43 when my smart watch didnt let me know my phone was ringing.
Thanks
My wife still has a red sim and no problem whatsoever. Should we stick with this then?
I've not been with them for around 3 years now, but before that I was with them for a few years.
Most the time I had this issue it wasn't something I was overly bothered about, but every now and then it was an important call (picking up car from mot, picking up parents from hospital, going out with friends etc) which obviously became very frustrating.
I rang Virgin a few times about this and they said they were doing this and that, but it never changed.
The last straw was getting my parents from hospital, rather than pay parking I went to a nearby pub, had a meal and awaited the call from them with a full signal. After about 2 hours, I rang them, they'd tried calling me a dozen times and then rang my brother 15 miles away to get them, he also tried ringing me. Once I hung up, I then got a load of messages through telling me about the missed calls from them for the last 1 1/2 hours.
Never again for me.
