sorted byThat's not how capitalism works Comrade Games aren't £50+ to cover costs. They're £50+ because enough people will pay it without question. All about the market economics.
Basically it went something like this...
I went to bed.
I woke up (some hours later).
I was able to order the game. (edited)
The new releases on PSN UK are joke prices. Just makes you buy physical copies and then sell them on later when your finished. Seems like a poor decision not to price them lower to get rid of the 2nd hand market
Just don't take off all your clothes.
?
It's in relation to living costs
If you want to earn £400 a month then move there
This is expensive for the people who live there
Lol, some of us don’t really care if we play today, tomorrow or in a week. It’s all the same, eventually you will have finished it and you won’t look back thinking “I’m so glad I was playing it 7 hours before those other chumps
On a deal site using an alternate region to save money.... :/
Native 4K on Xbox One X. Just saying
I plan to use the promo code to download RDR2 tonight from 5pm. I set up a LAN connection on my PS4 last night to speed up the download as I was using WiFi before.
When I set up the Revolut account I also had to take a photo of my drivers licence and take a selfie like someone else mentioned on here. It then took about 5 minutes for the app to verify my account based on my licence and photo. I'm intrigued whether the information is reviewed by a person or they use face recognition software to verify it.
General rule is that prices don't go up after release day. I'd guess they'll be the same (or very unlikely, slightly lower)
If they did that then people in countries like this would never be able to buy a game. The equivalent of £50-£60 is a months wages in some countries.
Why :/ You do know each countries economy is different?
In my personal experience - not great.
I prefer ShopTo or GameCollection.
That was due to the Turkish currency dropping like a stone.
I can't speak for this game, but for Horizon Zero Dawn and many (all?) other Asian region games it's in-game too. It's only two buttons though and you can get used to it pretty easily.
No we are all impatient, we want it downloaded to play at 5pm.
Plus it’s a gamble as to whether the price of the game will change on release at 5pm
Reviews today saying single player could be 80 hours!!!! It was nice knowing you family..
You have a habit of bringing out the HUKD crazies; you’ve been ganged up on and criticised mercilessly at times. A lesser man would’ve said, “F*** you all,” and walked away long ago, but here you remain, doing your thing. You lunatic.
Right, let’s see what this Red Dead 2 is all about. Sounds like it’s a steal at £32
If you're really paranoid you can do what I did and use the Revolut app and top it up with Apple pay. That way they never have your card details anyway so can't scam you.
Then also freeze your Revolut card once the purchase is made.
I thought the app was excellent and will use it again now I know such a thing exists. Had the same issues as some others with it declining first time but you get a notification in the app immediately and can override it. Then just attempt the purchase again and it's job done.
Remember that’s just because it was the first time! Next time you want something from the Indonesian store, be it a new release or something that’s on sale, just:
- load up your Revolut card
- buy what you want on PSN
Couldn’t be easier! And it’s better than using PSN vouchers (like people tend to do with US/Canada), as any leftover credit is on your Revolut and not tied to a specific store.
