What an ordeal, I have had the complete runaround with this since this morning on and off with this. The only way is live chat. I think I spoke to some semi humanoid from the planet Zorgan who was in no doubt stuck in a special pee the customer off mode.
Things got bad at this point as ( Lets call him "Gerald " ) as he said it may be better to speak to customer services. HHMMM!! I thought to myself, Then who the f'in hell have have I been talking to all this while. Anyway Gerald and I said our farewells and with a tear in my eye I closed the chat window.
The next brave step was to contact the actual CS. I wrote a strong but to the point letter about the incapability of using my Amex. I mentioned Gerald in my letter and said that was he was in no way to be blamed. He just had no clue where or what he was he was just your everyday Zorgonight! Maybe one day we will meet in person. Be strong Gerald. BE Strong my brother.
Hours past by this point when all of a sudden I received a reply from very depths of the CS. I could tell it was from the inner core as when I opened the email I could hear screams emulating from my computer screen. It gave me another number to call it was live chat again. I was skeptical to say the least I don't know if my Brian could have handle another round with a Zorgonite without being turned into a mushy pea omelette. I was sweating . HARD! I was put through to a above average earthling called NubNub.
Long story short. Nub was the man and I got Red Dead for 24.99. Your the man NubNub. NEVER give up NEVER surrender.
God fn dammit. Why do I get the notification only AFTER the deal has expired??? (edited)

I have got an amex card but missed out on the offer. Popped onto chat...got £25 in voucher. Thought I'd be a bit cheeky and ask for an extra 5 as its been a "hassle" having to message about an offer I'm eligible too and got another £5. Total voucher given: £30.

- what a cracking deal, went onto live chat at around 11:00 and talked to them and they said they would apply £25 to my account. I checked after 5 minutes and it wasnt there and went back onto live chat and he gave me £10 for the inconvenience and when i went to checkout, the £25 was also there. In short ended up getting RDR2 for £14.99

- Well I was gutted when I missed this earlier, so I plucked up the confidence to head to chat... Spoke a really nice guy who explained how to get the code to work, which still wasn't working for me (no AMEX card with points). He kindly offered to add £25 promo credit, left the chat very happy....
.... Checked account and there was no promo balance..... Waited, but no balance. Went back to chat and spoke to another friendly agent, who checked my previous chat and said sorry and he advised he had applied it. Left chat a happy bunny again....
.... Checked account again, nothing there... We, nothing again. Back on chat, this time I was a tired human. Another friendly guy started asking about the AMEX, and to the rescue the £25 credit appeared. So told him I was all good and it was sorted....
.... Went to place an order... Boom, the other £25 had been added... £50 promo credit to start the Black Friday with no minimum spend. Happy days - Mine came up as 17.99
