sorted byWhy is it every time someone posts an Omega watch deal you feel the need to come out with some comment about the cost, at least this one is slightly less annoying than your previous ‘freeze their bank accounts’ post.
And before someone says "but most people will never dive with it" - I know, but it's still a dive watch. Most people will never break 200mph in a Ferrari, it doesn't mean we should stick some extra weight in the back and trash the top speed. (edited)
£8 a day over a year (and it will last decades...) I imagine most people will spend that on cigs, alcohol or coffee.
Yes, you're right, a different Omega watch is £2600 at Goldsmiths. Thank you.
£5 Casio. Job jobbed
That one isn't a chronograph - can you honestly not see the difference?
He has a TAG
In my opinion yup it is. Yup, it’s a lot of money but for an Omega Automatic Chronograph , it’s actually a great price. Don’t get me wrong, I’d wear that Certina all day long. It’s gorgeous but we can’t compare a Certina with an Omega.
OK .... That’s the final standard watch thread comment received, we can now close the thread.
There's a lot of knowledge in the enthusiasts on here - one guy offered up the approach I needed to take to get a 15yr old Seiko working again, which saved me a min of £50.
I like these threads, even if I'm not in the market for what's on offer.
So the lads at the Rugby Club were saying.
He could wear them on his ankles
He has a Tag there already
A) A “good looking and attractive” watch is subjective.
B) A “value watch deal” is subjective.
C) Some people just DON’T GET watches and likely never will.
PS. Does anyone not know I finally got my hands on a Seiko Samurai Dawn Grey this week? Just worried I might have missed someone. (edited)
Not yet, we havent had the ‘dont need a watch just use my phone’ comment
Nope, not even close but I can afford a 3k watch and a decent car. What people choose to spend their money on is their business. Watches often hold value so in some ways it’s better than a second hand car if you look after it.
Spending 3k on a decent watch is probably a better idea and buying junk which is worth nothing after a few months of owning it, TVs and the like.
There are plenty of people out there who do well in life without being a millionaire.
champagne on free flow at ebay, they can't believe their luck
Likewise, Chrono watches or anything other than three hands (4 if it’s a GMT) are not for me, albeit it took me three purchases of said watches to realise it. ... Heat added. (edited)
Think of it as an investement, in 10 years time this watch wil still worth something
Don't feed the troll......
If this was the 44mm version I'd go and buy the black one too, as I sold my 41.5mm one last month for £2500, which was £800 more than I paid.
Their should be a few sale on this, as it's now a discontinued in this form. (edited)
Did you manage to get that Seiko Samurai Dawn Grey you were after yet by the way?
Rattled your cage have I?
Posters on HUKD go to some length to post deals. Whether those deals are hot or cold, posters should be given some appreciation for taking the time and effort to share that deal. Countering that deal (incorrectly) without any research or even sharing a link, simply saying “it’s cheaper somewhere else”, is just lazy.
I don’t have a large watch collection actually, but that’s not any of your business.
Have a good day (edited)
i dont really care if some people on here think it is extravagant or a ridiculous amount to pay for a watch, i am really happy with it and having worked hard for it think i am entitled to spend my money however i see fit. (edited)
Thank you for bringing this thread to its natural conclusion.
