I got mine from Halfords. They do price matching on UK sellers and I found an online UK seller selling them for £320, which Halfords matched. I’d much rather buy from a UK based company in case of returns. If you shop around there is always somebody selling them in the UK online for around 320 mark.

With the current situation I'd probably like something like this scooter than getting into a packed bus to get to work.
Wouldn't go at high speed or on the roads (would use a bike lane).
Trying to think of best options looking into the future.

Bought one of these (pro) from an Aliexpress-type deal (shipped from Poland). Developed a fault within two months. They advertised it as including local warranty, but local apparently meant Hong Kong. Paypal dispute resolution offered a refund if I posted it back to them in Hong Kong at a shipping cost of £200-300. Thieving b*****ds is all I can say!

Costs a lot more to get one from a UK company like Pure scooters, but at least you're protected from this kind of thing. (edited)

How realistic is the 30km endurance quote?

Have exactly same model. Won't do 30km, I can get 23km at very best from full charge when new. If driven uphill frequently it will make 14km before dying. Slow in charging, but charges fully if left overnight. Also batteries wears off quite quickly-have done 815km and capacity dropped sharply, so now I can get 11-14km as maximum from one charge.

None of what you wrote can be repeated by others so I'm not sure how it's 'telling people how to save money'... with the only possible expection being to wander around the local Halfords carpark to see if anyone has dropped a few notes out of their wallet. Cheers for the savings tip!

Thank you rossington. Very kind and polite of you to say so.
What money saving tips will you be sharing with the community? (Obvs, that's not discounting the 5 deals you've posted since you joined in Mar 2007).

Biscuits and 20p off? Or something more wallet satisfying?
I shared with the group, something I discovered that could save you almost 28% off the price of a £400 scooter without resorting to buying something offshore and all the associated risks that come with that.

If you want to be a mug all your life, that's your business. (Mind you, mugs have their place in this world. All those discounted biscuits need dunking in somewhere.)

PS. You better hurry, or I'll be in that supermarket queue ahead of you and nab all those discounted biscuits, (plus they'll be slightly fresher when I get to them) then it will have been a wasted trip for you. Now that WOULD be a shame. Then you would have stood in a car park, and returned home via a Shell petrol station's Waitrose Little and got fleeced for £30 for a pack of what? Do they at least have a chocolate covering?

It wasn't your £30 I found in the next door Halfords car park back in June 2019, was it? (edited)

It’s about £330 on the moment, the price fluctuates all the time. The lowest I’ve seen it from them is about 310, but it’s got to be better than the £370 that Halfords generally charge.

How fast can you get it to with tinkering?

It depends really on what you want/need. I have mine so it'll comfortably hit 18-20mph on the flat, but I still wanted good range. My main priority was increasing power for hills due to where I live and work. You can make them faster but it hits battery life/durability. Also gets kinda scary! (edited)

    It's all about balance.
Apps such as m365 Tools and m365downG allow you to override the default firmware and plumb in your own values for regenerative braking, how much power the motor should run at, how many watts to ramp up during acceleration.

All these parameters threaten reducing the motor's and batteries' lifespan. Set the numbers too high and you are risking overcooking things.

All the extra performance you could potentially squeeze out naturally comes at a price of reduced range on each charge, especially during winter. (edited)
