Another chance to play the Modern Warfare MP this weekend as Activision announce it's free to play THROUGH Warzone.
Activision has announced that players can experience Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer mode for free this weekend only through Call of Duty: Warzone.
Players can try Call of Duty: Modern Warfare MP free starting Friday, June 12 at 10AM PT and ending on Monday, June 15 at 10AM PT. There will be two new playlists in Warzone that allows for free MP access.
The first will be one that that features 5 MP maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for players to try out in-game, including Scrapyard, Hardhat, Shoot House, Shipment, and more. The second will be one that features 7 Gunfight maps for players to experience Gunfight mode.
Plus, free-to-play Warzone users can experience another Multiplayer Free Access Weekend on June 12 at 10 AM PT to June 15 at 10AM PT. It will include the latest 6v6 Multiplayer Maps Zhokov Scrapyard and Hardhat, as well as a few other fan-favorites. In addition, there will also be a Gunfight playlist during the Free Access Weekend featuring seven maps primed for fun, tactical and tension-filled engagements.
Players interested can download Warzone for FREE on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and play the free to play Battle Royale experience, and this weekend, experience the MP of Modern Warfare.

sorted byNew season update yesterday. Took ages to download the 33gb file. Their servers must have been glowing.
Not in my experience, I find it goes quicker with me staring at it
Put in rest mode, goes alot faster
Probably just so many people downloading at the minute. I bought the game last week and was getting 10-13MB/s with only 18MB broadband.
used this on the blizzard app
I tried that, whilst talking to mates, was soooo slow, put it in rest mode and it doubled in speed
I always put Ps4 in rest mode overnight if I know theres an update due.
This is aimed at PC YMMV on consoles as they just use MS/Sony's servers I'd guess? (edited)

It was on, until the playlist update. They've taken it down for the weekend. Go check, then apologize
literally the best game on warzone and they take it off for this!
Forcing everyone to play multiplayer for the weekend...which is crap compared to Pluder/bloodmoney

Literally been waiting all weekend for it to come back multiplayer is rubbish and battle royal is so slow and boring........surely there must have been millions playing plunder. I don't get what they are doing!
So have we, I don't have patience in BR. Plunder is definitely a keeper, they created something different instead of just another BR game, bring it back!

Some of it yes, I’ve been playing warzone for a bit and decided to get the full game last week. Approximately 80/90gb more updates needed.

The game is now downloaded in segments, so you can individually download warzone, campaign or multiplayer etc similar to map packs basically
In 2020
@17:00hrs was downloading at 150-300kbps!
left it on all night and it was complete by 05:30.
Everyone else must have given up and turned off their update..
