Only if it has an M.2 slot on the motherboard.
Or you could buy a PCI adaptor
download speccy it will give you the motherboard model number then google that for the specs. If you need help post
Tip for if you do do it put a decent magnet on your screwdriver and cover your powersupply fan cuz you will be working with a tiny screw (edited)
Clueless
Thanks, will find out somehow :/
What model is the mobo?
Some older devices only support SATA M.2. Plus if you don't actually require the extra oomph, this is cheaper and may well run cooler.
M.2 ranges from SATA (~550MBs) to PCIe 3.0 x4 (~3.5GBs) to PCIe 4.0 x4 (~7GBs).
So by M.2 standards this SATA version is a Sinclair C5.

Who said anything about HDDs
Sabrent 512GB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 Internal SSD High Performance Solid State Drive (SB-ROCKET-512) amazon.co.uk/dp/…c=1 (edited)
What pc is it?
That's y the boat I'm in, didn't realise the difference and bought a pcie which I've returned so will get this
Directly? No, Apple uses their own proprietary drive connection. You can however buy an adapter to convert their connection into m.2 however it will only take nvme drives with an m key, this is b&m key
Your MacBook also needs to be running at least high Sierra if I recall (undoubtedly a 2017 is but can never be too careful). It is also a pain to setup.
If you want some advice and guidance welcome to drop me a PM.
Usually does with prime from Germany, it’s reported a lot on here. The prime Germany terms don’t have uk included in the free prime delivery. Some people have managed to get it though after speaking to customer services.
Excellent question. It resides in Ireland so will take me a bit to find out. Will try find the original order.
It's M.2 and not slow at all (edited)
I think you're the one that's clueless. Jump from HDD to SSD is by far the most significant improvement. It's like 60Hz to 144Hz for gaming. Sure, 240Hz is better but it's diminishing returns. Most people aren't going to notice any difference between SATA and NVMe for SSDs. So if you can get more for your money then it's not a bad idea. Not that this deal is necessarily that.
In the future with the next gen consoles there may be a distinct advantage with PCIe 4 drives. But that remains to be seen.
You need to chill out, no one is going to truly notice the difference between a sata based ssd vs an nvme in real day to day use.
Just because it's faster doesn't mean you are actually going to be able to notice or take advantage of it.
Therefore high chance it's subject to import tariff (customs charge) and the post office handling fee
I think it was in reference to the previous posted link to amazon.co.uk so no import tariff, etc. (edited)
These run hot even though they are sata based. Several reviews on amazon mention temperature's up to 80 degrees C.
Love that show. Currently on Netflix.
The 500Gb Kingston M.2 with full PLP is double the price
In the real world you wont notice much difference between SATA and proper M.2
Thank you, good info. I'll give it a go.
thats NVME this deal is for a SATA
Find out the make and model of the motherboard and we can tell you in 2 seconds
