I also have a barcode which a tesco cs agent at head office lovingly gave me today, she was quite exited, and said that she had been saving this up for over 2 weeks, and said..."I knew this would come in handy" Bless her So if this helps anyone that wants to check store stock availability.
Here you go.
Barcode for white OLED switch: 089940502
Your very welcome. (edited)
Yeah, my V2 Switch looks awful compared to the new OLED Model. Better and Bigger screen, solid build quality, better buttons. Perfect blacks and colours, my V2 looks washed up now.
Yes only if you play in handheld mode. If playing in docked/TV mode then no.
The n64 ports are terrible at the moment. You'd be better off with a decent tablet and an Emulator!
I had to phone up a store, but automatically got transfered to head office who take calls when they're busy.
We asked about the switch, lady gave us this code, and we were able to finally get through to our local store, who confirmed they had 6 in stock. Code is very usefull
All out at Clifton Moor, but managed to bag one at Tadcaster Road and got the £20 off Mario Kart as well!
Will wait for online stock or available to reserve, otherwise a bit of a goose chase and waste of time unless its your local. (edited)
Hard to tell if some had them in stock but couldn't be bothered to check as they flat out say no and you can't really force them When I showed them the App they just shrugged it off. Not worth all the hassle.
Thanks for the post, was helpful to some people. (edited)
You need to search by store. Seems likely only Tesco Extra’s are stocking them.
Thank you for this info!!! Managed to drive down last night. They have no sign of any OLED on the shelves (or the deal for £20 game - unless its with a non-oled Switch) but i gave the very nice lady on customer service desk the barcode and she found one in the back stores!!
I completely forgot to ask how much stock is left but worth a shot!
I meant there staff app
Not really worth upgrading from a standard Switch, but definitely worth it if you don't already have one.
The new screen is much better, makes games look so much more vibrant. The kickstand is also an excellent improvement.
Any feedback regarding issues with the controllers appreciated
Looking to buy but put off with ongoing issues with joy concontrollers
thanks
Where do you go to check stock availability with that code please
From what i hear, they are the exact same joy cons as the others.
Check here:
imore.com/nin…son
I can't compare them with the older 2 units joy cons, as this is my first switch.
Thank you. A little further out to drive than I was hoping especially as I'll be passing many other stores to get there and not guaranteed I'll find one.
Just wished there was an easier way to check stocks locally. By the sounds of it , it's the large Extra stores that stock them.
The store stock checker on the Tesco app is very cool. I used it for the first time today and it was accurate. Managed to get splatoon 2 for £11.25 because it said it on the app they had it - nothing in store about it being on clearance!
It is usually superstores that are stocking these deals, but as i have said above, the sku/bar code really helped us find accurate stock from whatever superstore you call. Give it ago and see if you are able to grab a Unit.
Just quote the sku/bar code: 089940502
