Microsoft Rewards Xbox - 6000 points for Battlefield 2042 (with EA Play free trial)

To anyone having issues finding the trial, I found the answer on Reddit:

You need to search for the Xbox One version in the store, and the trial will be showing there. I have a Series S, and it wasn’t showing the trial on that.

They did same when the madden one worked. They fixed it quickly.

So they can fix this loophole in less than 24hrs but can't fix the November monthly quest in two weeks?!

Makes up for the top 10 500 and the weekly 2000 still not working!

Having both the Series X and PS5, for sheer value Xbox is killing it. Game Pass and the ease of earning points is such a win for Microsoft and the reason I only use my 5 for exclusives.

If people are having the same issue as me, I've unlocked an achievement in the Microsoft Top 10 punchcard (Back 4 Blood) and both boxes are ticked green, but the +500 points is still yellow and won't change, no matter what you do. Locks you out of those 500 points and therefore the 2000 November monthly points too

Is it bad that MS Rewards makes you think/game like that? I keep thinking about knocking MS Rewards on the head to make gaming more fun but then I also liked getting £300 off my Series X. Decisions decisions

To be fair I NEVER would have even tried Subnautica without MS Rewards wanting me to get two achievements, and now it's easily one of my favourite games ever. Ok I give in, I will continue milking MS Rewards

My brother has had exactly the same issue.

Easiest 6000 points ever, don't even need to start the download, just pick the trial version and voila.

Can this be done on PC with game pass?

Do you need Xbox ultimate for this?

That or EA Play on xbox. The 'trick' here is the rewards thinks the EA Play (which is included as part of Ultimate) trial is the full game and is rewarding the points thinking we've purchased the game.

I don't think so as the punchcard is only available via an xbox console AFAIK. Worth a try on your PC and then checking your rewards account after starting the download, no?

I've messaged Microsoft about that and they've replied saying that they are aware and working to resolve it, so fingers crossed

I did mine on my Series S earlier, no problem. That's a handy workaround, though.

I had the same thing happen to me. Check your junk mail folder. Only the 'closed your case' email went to my inbox. The support email about how they resolved it went to my junk mail. They actually gave me 3000 points too even though i was only missing out on 2500. The extra 500 were so i could enter the sweepstake.

The problem is without a xbox console we dont have access to the xbox rewards app needed to register the punchcard or turn in the rewards.

We have access to the rewards website to slowly earn points rewards.microsoft.com/

If you have game pass then there is a game pass mobile app that offers more ways to get points some of which can be got by playing xbox console games over cloud if you have GPU

In the xbox app on Windows there is a link for the battlefield 2042 game trial for PC but its returning an error message at the moment so its worth trying later today to see if it triggers the reward without access to the xbox console rewards app (edited)

I think it's over. doesn't work on either the X/s or Xbox One trial version
