sorted byFrom what I understand you can set a time for the steam to auto release when pressure cooking. All other models you do this manually. As it’s typically at the end of the cooking process I see no reason as to why you would need it to be honest. Nice to have but not essential. Meat probe would be useful but hard to justify to extra cost in my eyes.
Yawn bore off
Oh you sound like some bloke I know Mr W. Anker.
No but JL will price match Argos at £269.99;
argos.co.uk/pro…6:1
15 one has auto steam release on a timer and a temp probe. I would have preferred that but not in stock anywhere and about £40 to £50 more expensive
It automatically releases pressure either immediately as soon as cooking time is finished or start natural release for a set time and then releases pressure after that time, if you are in another room or doing something else and don't want to monitor the natural release time, the automatic and setting time function
Is very handy, plus of course the probe which would automatically stop the cooking when temperature is reached and then again release automatically
I had the OP350 and used it almost daily. Power consumption is better than an electric oven and the food was much nicer. Since my OP350 broke under warranty and they had none in stock (so I got a refund) I’ve really missed it. Been holding out for the new model as the single lid really appealed to me.
I didn’t notice being offered any to be honest. My last one did break at the 11 month mark and it was refunded by Amazon as they had no stock. I think you could argue under the two year statutory rights for electronics assuming they still apply (I think they do). Could hold out for an Amazon price drop but I wouldn’t expect it below £229 if I was to guess.
Cheers. Long shot but worth a try. Quidco offers 6% cashback...so another tenner less if from Ninja...
This is a helpful video comparing the 14 in 1 and 15 in 1
The model numbers are different as they are the US models but same specs.
The extra 2 things with the 15 in 1 is the extra function but also comes with the probe and it has a steam auto release function (which is what I think is brilliant)
Used the steam roast on ours yesterday. It pressure cooks the meat whilst using the air fryer functionality. Chicken came out amazing yesterday. Juicy and then crispy skin, cooked in 50 minutes for a 2kg chicken. The same results can be achieved with other models by switching the cooking setting half way through from pressure to Air Fry (timings for this are in the included book, they call it "tendercrisp").
Only got the 15 in 1 on Friday (from Argos) and used it every day since. No need to pre-heat the oven, which is a huge benefit to time and energy savings. The ceramic coating is really good and cleans easily as does the air fry basket.
Ah ok gotcha. Not a priority for me to be honest, bloody apps get on my nerves anyway, I'm happy to slum it and go old school pressing buttons on the actual machine
No. That's the 15-in-1 version.
Thank you!
The other one (ol750uk) is in stock at John Lewis for its full price of 299.99 - it's listed at 269.99 on the ninja website but out of stock as you say. I assume JL don't price match when it's not in stock on the other website?
Just googled it and couldn't find what auto steam release is, why it is better. Do you have any idea? I went for the OL750UK in amazon but I have to wait for a month and more expensive.
The 9 in 1 (older range) uses two lids requiring you to store one when that's not in use.
This uses just one lid & added features
Plenty on Facebook
Not had one of these before, what is smart functionality?
I forgot to put that in the post, mine has tracked but it’s anyones guess if it will be confirmed
anyone have any idea what that is , and if its worth the extra £40/50 ?
It also has a temperature probe if you need that exact cooking, personally I don't.
I read a little bit about steam roasting and it seems it is healthier but less tasty, although couldn't find particular information about the steam roast of this model.
What did it happen? What can we do to prevent it? (edited)
App? Remote management etc
It started to trip the fuse board, no idea why
I have it on my sage pressure cooker and it's great, it means you can't end up with overcooked food if you forget about the food being cooked.
