Just to update you all I got email back from them about refund first they offer 50% I said no I want full refund and wanna return this item then they offer me 15£ back so I agreed because for a 5£ it's ok drone for kids. Because return might not be free and we have to pay it .

That's quite a big difference to miss lol

Only problem I can see, is only 8 minutes flight, and one battery?
I paid £70 for a similar cheap drone, but it had 20 minutes flight, and three extra batteries, so charge them all up beforehand, and your options are much greater!
I checked if this battery looks the same shape as my others....so it would be well worth buying in hope they are interchageable, but it doesn't look the case.
If you are new to drones, by the time you have learned a few simple things, your 8 minutes is up.

For this particular deal, think of it more as a toy

I can't comment on the camera quality for now so take the 4K spec with a grain of salt

Absolutely not. Weighing 43 grams, if you cough too hard it'll fly off never to be seen again.

It also has an apparent maximum range of 80m which I cannot fathom how they achieved when it's using 2.4GHz WiFi technology.

This is one of those toys a drunk dad takes outside to show his kid, turns it on, flies straight upwards and then watches helplessly as the drone slowly blows off into the distance.

A case like that is usually around a tenner on Amazon for things like action cams, half the price of this drone kit lol (edited)

Looks the same, the amazon pic is showing the drone with propeller guards on (which you get with the MyMemory deal too)
I can't see info on a carry case with the amazon listing though?

    Alright, Buzz Killington here.

This drone operator will need to have an Operator ID.
    register-drones.caa.co.uk/ind…tor
This is because it weighs less than 250g, but has a camera.

Also, if you take this outside, you should be fully prepared for this to end up 13 streets away and irretrievable within 5-6 minutes. That being said, if you fly it inside, you're going to have a bad day when it inevitably clips aunt Doris or a piece of furniture.

Yeah I've read their drone code. It states that you cannot fly in, above, …Yeah I've read their drone code. It states that you cannot fly in, above, through any land owned by the council. One of the drone forums I'm on says they can't do that. They can stop you taking off and landing, but not flying over it because they don't have control over the airspace. Meanwhile other councils like say Richmond council take an opposite approach and designated part of Richmond Park (a Royal park!!!) to fly in. While ours just outright bans it everywhere

Like I said, if there's an official PSPO or even an NFZ in place, you absolutely cannot fly there.

I take it you're in or near London? I find that to be the absolutely worst place in the UK to own a drone, almost on par with the Lake District - although I empathise with those at the Lakes because the drones can affect the local nature and people. (edited)

All that will get delivered when this arrives is disappointment.
Not being a snob, but this is junk that will either get blown away or frustrate you as it constantly crashes due to no GPS or collision detection.
The camera will be a 4k potato too.

If you want a cheap beginner drone go for a tello for <£100 or stretch to a Mavic mini 1 for <£200.

Technically the council own no land. This land is owned by the Crown

I can't believe so many people are bashing a drone that cost under twenty quid lol. It's a toy we get that. If people wanted to buy a proper drone we know what to buy. This is great for a secret Santa present or a stocking filler. (edited)

It's basically landfill that's why. I'm probably being a bit of a drone snob because I've spent upwards of £5k on the things, but my concerns are that this is either going to hurt someone or fly off the first time it's used. I hear so many stories of people buying cheap drones only to have them float off to Narnia within 60 seconds of turning it on.

What you're suggesting is a drone priced at just £19.99 can access a magical world called Narnia and you're saying that's a bad thing ?!?!

Probably not, but I didn't want to waste time arguing over a fiver, and it can just go in as a stocking filler. I mean a drone in a stocking is more than I got as a kid lol.

I got the same as everyone else. What a load of rubbish. I guess worth a fiver to save hassle of returning etc. but don't think I would buy it if I see it advertised for £5.

it is, the only difference is that the amazon one has the prop guards on it and the controller doesnt have the phone attachment clipped on.

These are the exact same drone sold under various names, you can pick them up from gearbest etc for less than 15quid if you wanted to wait a while on postage

I got one of these for a bit of fun in the garden. For that it is perfect. (edited)
