Good price i’ll get one tomorrow

Steadicams (which were the previous industry standard for stabilised shots) for tens of thousands of pounds would make you wince a bit. The price of DJIs stuff in particular is insanely cheap for the technology and have revolutionised film making. The Ronin-s is a pro tool and goes out for hire for about 75 a day in my profession. It's a quality item with clever technology. £699 was nothing to pay. £499 is a no brainer. I don't understand where you are coming from?

Paid 699 2 months ago for this. Unbelievable bit of kit. Takes a bit of practice to get it the way you want it. But it will change the way you film with your dslr for good. Hot;)

Also available at DJI and other resellers at the same price

Purchased at full price, and it’s brilliant, so heat from me.

Ok so seeing as your such an expert then please make a suggestion on what to get instead for the sane price?!?

I'm not spoiling anything, this is a website aimed at providing great value for money and in my experience with drones (as I've had many and been flying them for several years) this is not a good example of money well spent, it's quite the opposite. I didn't suggest to people not to buy, I just said I don't view this as particularly good value for money and then elaborated as to why.

It’s just meant as a cheap into to droning as an obvious hobby enthusiast you know that you’ve gotta start somewhere and I certainly can’t afford £200 for a drone! Please don’t spoil it for other members with negativity!

I'm sorry but I don't see this being particularly good value for money, the "VR" Headsets can be picked up from junk shops for a couple of quid and the drone itself looks small and flimsy. The drone itself was designed for indoor use only as one catch of the wind in this and you'll lose it forever. It has a relatively small range and low battery life, top speed about 9mph - If you could ever get it up to that in a contained environment. Not sure why you would need "VR" to look at something 10 feet away from you anyway. The little RC Helicopters for £10+ are better value considering they can only really be flown indoors too and reach similar speeds. If you take this outside and fly it 50 feet in the air you'll likely never see it again - Even my £200 drone suffers badly in the wind so I can't imagine what this flimsy little thing would do.

Works well, battery life is disappointing though.

Good god, how many of these did they make!

You can get a Ryze Tello for cheaper which is better IMO. DJI and Intel software for less or this made by who knows. Pick the Tello. Link to Argos deal for £90 - Tello

well the girl in the deal pic is clearly impressed ...

True, but who's getting a perfect selfie?! Whoop Whoop!

How long before somebody injures themselves with those rapidly spinning blades, all in the name of getting the perfect selfie? These things look positively dangerous to me.

A problem does exist. The obsession with selfies and the need to constantly be on (un)social media, showing off. But yes, this doesn't solve that problem, it makes it feeds it.

Picked up the X-wing and Tie fighter today. Have to say, amazing. Beautiful collectors items and a steal at £35. Seem to be a pretty good mini drone to boot as well. Think these were £199 when first released

Superman went back in time also , flew around the earth

Oh, as I had a personal invite, I wanted them to be brilliant- and, as I had pre-ordered them at just short of £600, I was slightly miffed. Believe it or not, I’m a great believer in start ups, which is why I got that invite due to the cash up front.

Just waiting for lightning to hit clock tower then I will go back and buy cheers

That was on offer on Black Friday as well...

This thing definitely grabbed my attention, I love it (pre testing it mind). Maybeeee if I go to NYC next year I'll grab one as it's about £50 cheaper there.

Well, you can also wait for "Chinese" equivalent of their drones, and there are none for half the price with equal functionality, stability and image quality. For instance, what's competing currently with the Mavic Air or Mavic Pro, and is half the price? Nothing. It's called innovation, and DJI have an advantage when it comes to engineering, gimbal technology etc.

You can’t polish a turd, even a DJI fanboy of a turd

Go get yourself a life then and stop being bored.
