Just paid £12 more for a 43" 4k Samsung TV I'm not sure why at this point you would want to buy a TV using 10 year old technology

I connected these into an ethernet cable / socket and loads of digital TV channels came on. I was surprised with this thought I'd have to put a TV aerial in

I bought the 32 inch model for 249 in November. Great TV

4k is useless to me as I have a Switch, xbox series S, huge dvd/blu-ray collection and a blu-ray player so I'm getting this for my bedroom as I'm not going to go 4k for some time, especially with the price of the films. 4k streaming doesn't look better than blu-ray to me so thanks for posting, cheers. I think this is a good Tv for the price. Good size I know it’s only Full hd and time says it should be 4k but for the price a good tv.

I'm not so sure on the picture. My daughter has the 4k unit, and we've never been able to get a great picture on it, it just doesn't have the contrast. Just got the 40" one for my father in law, picture is nicer imo. He'll never watch anything in 4k so it's fine for him that it's only HD.

At this price, I'd go for the TCL 4K 43P615 currently at Costco for £249 with 5 year guarantee. Excellent 4K image, decent Android implementation, Google and Alexa smarts, decent bassy sound and Chromecast built in. Have one and prefer its image to the Samsung 40 inch 4K panel I also have.

    costco.co.uk/TVs…167

Incidentally,TCL have been contract-manufacturing non-QLED panels for Samsung since 2018.

The new variant is more forgiving. Less breathing concerns. Milder symptoms.

I think I had it. Didn't have tests to check, but lost some of my taste buds for a week or so after, so think it must have been.
I just had a headache and felt a bit rundown. I'm 40, so was a bit worried it might have been worse. It was fine. Hopefully you will be too.

    As a note, it's £228.65 in the deal I posted here: hotukdeals.com/dea…608

Samsung seem to be relying on reputation to shift a lot of lower end priced TVs, and the overall reviews of the T/TU/AU sets aren't convincing - especially when you get their proprietary UI that's, supposedly, chock full of ads

Yes, but that's with just the TCL 2 year warranty. £22 extra for 5 years' zero hassle Costco warranty is IMHO fully worth it, though someone else may differ.

Agree with all you say about Samsung adverts on Tizen. It's very annoying, and there's also a 'glitch' in their YouTube app which serves up an advert almost each time YouTube is opened - for Premium customers!!

HDR is worthless unless it says HDR10 or HDR10+. My previous Samsung was only HDR and it wasn't very good.

Not very good. I actually had to disable the HDR as it made the picture worse. My new Samsung au7100 handles HDR images much better.

Probably did'nt look into it to much.Like a car or any other material things to some it is what it is.And a branded smart tv for that size and price is a bargain.I bought a 50 inch Crystal 4k Samsung tv just after Christmas last year,it wont get used to it's full potential i expect i just wanted a particular model so bought it.Its a tv to me at the end of the day and im not overly struck by it.Its slow and i dont like the layout of the pages, and sometimes i wish i had stuck with my smaller older Samsung which was still going strong. Why did i buy it then is a good question..I got it from RS online so didnt see it working and as my previous 3 tv's have been Samsung i thought everything would be ggo about it.But the more it was used you just see it being slow on startup / tv guide is slow on appearing and just general responsiveness is slow.

Didn't realise it was hd only otherwise would vote cold lol guess a lot of people thought the same. Seriously pick up a used one off Facebook or somewhere, will cost much less even seen some free ones back when I was selling mine. Everyone's upgrading so you should find a lot around. Even if you don't use 4k its always good to future proof.
