Bring detail to life

At the heart of the Sony BRAVIA XR75X94JU 75" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV you'll find the top-of-the-line Sony XR processor with cognitive intelligence. It takes clues from how our brains process information, fine-tuning each element of the screen instantly.

The result is an incredibly realistic image, with all aspects perfectly balanced. The TV focuses the same way your eyes do, detecting the main focal point of each scene and enhancing important details for added sense of depth.

The Full-Array display adjusts the brightness and contrast, so you always get the perfect balance on screen. And with TRILUMINOS you get natural looking colours that are deep and bright. Just sit back and enjoy the quality.

Made for action

Frantic football matches, fast-paced films, speedy video games – whatever's on your TV, you want it to run smoothly. The BRAVIA XR75X94JU makes sure your picture doesn't skip a beat thanks to the updated XR Motion Clarity tech behind the screen.

You'll be able to enjoy a multi-dimensional sound experience with Dolby Atmos, making you feel like the action is happening all around you.

Content
galore

Google TV shows your favourites and recommendations all in one place. Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube – you can pick up exactly where you left off with a press of a button.

With Chromecast, AirPlay and Miracast, you can play straight from your tablet or smartphone, load up apps on the big screen, or show off your favourite photos. And don't forget you've still got BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and the rest to catch up with - it's even easier to find the shows you've missed by scrolling back through the YouView TV guide.

Smart
assistant

With Google Assistant built-in both the TV and the remote, controlling your TV just got that much easier. You can change channels, load apps, even see what the day's weather is – just by using your voice. And if you've got other smart home gadgets at home you can sync them up and control them through the TV too. So sit back, pick a movie and dim the lights – all by talking to your TV.

Two-position stand

The premium metal blade stand has two positions. The wide position gives plenty of space for a sound bar in front while the narrow position means the TV can be placed on smaller TV stands.

This is my personal opinion but is shared by pretty much everyone I’ve ever met: Sony TVs have better and more realistic colours than Samsung but you generally pay the Sony tax for it so it’s up to you whether it’s worth it. For a lot of people it’s not.

However if you watch a lot of football you can immediately tell the difference in things like colour of the grass; the green is always oversaturated on Samsungs whereas it’s much more realistic on Sonys.

That is not false information that is reality , a quick google search confirms this , see here source 1

I'm not talking about phones talking about TV OS and lag, the reason earlier tvs were suffering with lag is because the sockets were using low powered processors, that's been improved especially with the Sony using high performance sockets, yes android itself does have bugs I know that my point was more about the tv OS and lag is due to manufacturers putting in low cost sockets in tvs,

Performance is different from bugs ,and I never mentioned performance . Though my old sony 4K with MTK5890 still does everything I need it to do, again I never knocked the product or Sony TV's . While I recommend Android for phones and TV's it is often a buggy operating system , though Sony does a good job . My Sony Android had three firmware updates and still has many of the bugs , some were fixed though

In principle I am just saying that holding reset , turning off and on will be needed regularly , and it will be inevitable due to buggy app implementation , unfortunately this is not acceptable for many people. Though I am ok with that , been doing that for years (edited)

Hey mate. Yeah it's an older model LG b6 that suffered screen burn in year 2-3 of ownership.
Absolutely nothing left on the screen for hours on end and always varied content. Burnt on many banners and chanel logos.
I bought it from John Lewis and took out added care on the phone as they said that policy would cover me if screen burn ever happened.
When I tried to claim they said I'm not covered. I obviously said I've been misssold the insurance and for them to dig out the phone call. They refused and said staff member no longer works for them. John Lewis warranties etc are a shower of s**t!
Strangely there new insurnace policies specifically cover screen burn.

But after that waffle, yes screen burn does happen, with the trade off being the risk for a great picture. (edited)

My TV was meant to arrive today, but hasn’t - the tracking link Currys provides never updated… perhaps it’s all automated, and there’s been delays because of the storms?

Waited ages for this TV to drop from £2,299 to £1,699 and worked out in the end £1,530 with a 10% discount I had.

This is a great price. We’ve got it setup with an Xbox Series X and Sonos Arc Soundbar in a smaller second room. Amazing for gaming and cinema nights.

I was debating this or a 65” OLED at the time and took some advice that the immersion at 75” would outweigh the difference in quality. Can’t say categorically whether that is true or not but I am regularly blown away - Forza Horizon for example on the Xbox looks stunning.

I actually much prefer the simpler no nonsense interface Sony used to use years ago. Apart from access to Google play which I never use, I don’t think android offers any extra functionality for that’s worth putting up with it for.

I have actually repaired several for clients ( Samsung used to deliberately install crappy capacitors) I even replaced CCFL's on old LCD's. Sony's android Implementation is actually comparatively much much better than anything I have tried - despite its bugs . Again I am not knocking the TV or Sony . I am interested what bugs will be found though ( some bugs could be 'features' depending on how you look at it ) For example does Dolby 5.1 codecs get passed through correctly through SPDIF using its native apps , Does bluetooth pair with anything other than Sony's soundbars ? Does the TV randomly pass through sound the SPDIF at weird times at night - I still have these issues with mine I

Nice to see a guy who cares about codecs, although that's not so much of problem with eArc nowadays which has made things easier, on separate note this great TV for money anyway fair play you got some valid points

Yes, I think you're correct - I posted before my cashback had tracked, it's showing a £162.38 cashback, but with the status "pending uplift" whatever that means... I assume it means the amount may go up? so as someone else has suggested, perhaps the Currys cashback amount is going to increase further still?

I hadn't notice when I ordered, but yes - it's the X90J, not the X94J - I did have to add the item to my basket a few times to get it to stay there, so I guess at some point I got redirected from the X94J product page to the X90J product page

No big deal, as far as I can tell, the only difference is the voice remote on the X94J, which I can live without
