Some decent ones here, partially the same old ones and partially some ones I haven't seen in a sale before.

If you have the first 2 this is a good one:
Ruin - John Gwynne

Also another Alex Rider book if you like them although I think this may have been in the £1 or £3 sale a couple of months back, I may be wrong:

SnakeHead - Anthony Horowitz

The biography section seems pretty strong this time too if that is your thing.

Remember - Members only to participate but you don't need to be a member to listen to purchased books.

Credits can be bought 3 for £18 on Audible usually if you want more and you can also buy them on ebay from Turkey, usually around £3-£4 each.

I bit the bullet recently and bought a year's worth of credits +. It works out far cheaper. I think it was £109.99 for 24 credits.
You still get the 2 for 1 deals when they occur, so it is, effectively, £2.28 per book.

Kudos if you can afford that. But personally I cancel every 3-4 months depending on promo so I get a constant £3.99 pm sub for 3-4 months and at the end of each I cancel and take offered free additional credit they offer for you to stay and I still cancel thereafter.
Admittedly it's easy for me to go a few weeks - month without sub as I hard extensive back catalogue to get through, but never have issue getting £3.99 sub to rejoin.

"The Book Thief" was a good film and not a book I have seen before on the 2 for 1.

Although you can just get any random book and swap it out for another later within reasonable limits ofcourse. You probably would not have large number of credits.

It takes me an hour to walk to work (20 mins if I get the bus). I use the long walk to listen to books and get some exercise.

At weekend I go for a walk around the park and listen to my books there too.

The other place I listen to books is when I'm at home cleaning.

    Correct!

Same. Build up a huge collection through that and the £1-£3 offers and 2 for 1s, you don't need to keep it more than 3-4months

Seems I'm not eligible even though I'm paying subscription charge, the app does not offer sale and the above link tells me to log in and after logging in there is no sale section..

Sadly nothing from my 50+ book wishlist is ever in the 2 for 1 sale...

Have they taken away the option to return books you don't like? I'm out of credits, and thought "no problem, I'll return something I haven't listened to" but I can't see that option anywhere.

No complaints if they have - I know a lot of people abused that quite badly, but interested to know.

Perhaps you got the books more than 365 days in the past?

No (thanks for the link though), but it seems I was looking in the wrong place. You need to go to your purchase history to return an item, the option doesn't appear in your library.

I have the tastes of a secondary school English Literature teacher: orwell, kafka, huxley etc

Anything in the 241 that would suit me?
Nothing from my wishlist is pinging
