    Very nice, good quality controller.
Better quality than the Nintendo Pro controller (I own both).

Due to the button labels, this is best suited for use with the Nintendo Switch.

Switch owners BEWARE: if you also have Joycons connected, this controller will experience terrible input lag. Make sure your joycons are not connected when using this controller.

This is the only down-side to this otherwise excellent bit of kit.

If people are just wanting a pad for use with a phone for gaming, I would strongly recommend the Razer Kishi. (Edit- Doesn't work with Genshin Impact)

It doesn't rely on Bluetooth, which means it won't be tied to one phone/device and its width (with the phone attached) is comfortable to hold for prolonged periods because it's roughly the width of your torso. Well. My torso anyway.

I should point out I am an 8bitdo SF30 Pro pad owner, but whilst great for different purposes (with raspberry pi), I still think it pales in comparison for Android phone use personally speaking.

I use an 8bitdo pad with a long detachable cable with my Pi. Works great! (edited)

worth upgrading from pro+ to this one?

Yes, it's so nice to be able to switch mode without fiddling with weird button combos I can never remember...
I sold my Pro+ for £30 on eBay and got a Prob2 instead
The Grey Pro+ turned a bit yellow after a while even though I don't smoke. I got a black Pro 2 and it looks really nice. Won't have yellowing issues anymore either.

Amazing pad for Switch, honestly the only thing that the official Nintendo pro pad has over it is that it can turn the console on.

I wouldn't have thought so. Both are high quality items, but an official Xbox controller is hard to beat.

Yep it does, best controller I've had since my Sony consoles lol. I hate how big and chunky the Xbox ones are. This one is very comfy. I also love the position of both sticks on this and Sony controllers. (edited)

I am assuming it’s something to do with the Switch and they way it uses bluetooth. But would that mean you can’t use several of these controllers at the same time either?

I have the flat version of this pad (SN30 Pro) and no input lag for me on the switch with joycons connected, with everything connected wirelessly. I'd expect the internals to be more or less identical. Are you sure you don't have a fridge or microwave or something in the way that's interfering with the signal?

Do some googling, you’ll see plenty of reports, especially on Reddit.

Appears to be more prevalent in docked mode, and affects some titles more that others. I know that Rocket League is quite badly affected.

Then I read a post where someone works out it was due to the Joy-Con’s being connected at the same time.

I find any racing games are more noticeable due to the sharp timing required on the steering.

As I say, Google it and you’ll see lots of complaints. 8bitdo even market their wired version as “zero lag”, so there is some acknowledgement in that alone.

I think this is Nintendo applying QoS to Bluetooth connections. With preference towards their own gear.

Other than the fact the button labels won't match the ones on screen, yes. Personally, I'd go for an Xbox pad though. (edited)

Fantastic gamepad. I use one of these for phone and tablet gaming as well as with my PC. Only really annoying thing is the face buttons have the Nintendo layout rather than Xbox (ie. They go B, A, Y, X instead of A, B, X, Y) which makes it a little annoying as most games on phones and PC use the Xbox layout.

You can still play just fine, you just have to remember that the buttons aren’t in the order that they’re labelled.

I have a Kishi. Whilst the analogue sticks are great, the DPad is complete trash. Down more often then not registers as down left or right. Definitely a no-no for retro games. For new 3d games it's cool though.

I experienced the same issue with my controller (dreadfully bad lag with joycons) until I updated the firmware. There is a revision that specifically addresses this issue but I would recommend the latest version which also addresses intermittent disconnection issues. See their support website. Now, if there is any lag, I don't notice it.
