Obviously no interest in pizza ovens, so why are you posting on a pizza oven thread?
Personally I love mine.
This is a fantastic price. heat.
Just done a quick working out.
It costs about £1 per pizza (cheese, tomato, ham & pepperoni)
I have a peel (£15.90 amazon) but don't need a carry case.
You don't need to buy Ooni accessories (very expensive). If you need a carry case I'd just get a big enough bag to put it in. (edited)
As in never seen the appeal of a fresh pizza where you can choose your own ingredients and know the heritage of those ingredients and cook it in a couple of minutes for 1/10 the price of a commercially bought pizza? Or something else?
I've had a pizza oven for 3 years and make better pizzas than I could ever buy commercially, and most weekends the outdoor oven is out; doesn't need to be cracking the flags to fire it up for 10 minutes, but each to their own.
More the 3 days of summer we get to cook such a fresh sounding pizza yourself that will inevitably be no where near as good as what you could order.
I'm not sure the majority could make better pizzas than their local Italian/takeaway, probably a hell of a lot more rusting in garages and in land fill.
How much do ingredients, pellets and fire starter cost per pizza? 1/10 seems like a significant exaggeration (edited)
Sorry, it does, £16.99 for 15kg, lasted almost a year but I light mine with a blowtorch not fire starters.
And I make my own dough. (edited)
Wow they've gone up, I paid £60 for that exact one last year. No the first time is the most expensive as you're effectively leasing the bottle too. When you need a replacement you swap the empty for a full and just pay the cost of the gas. Gas prices have skyrocketed though as we all know. I'm going to get the wood fired one as I think it will work out cheaper.
I don't but my neighbour has, does that still count?
Why doesn't your calculation include cost of pellets and fire starters?
I only know what they show in the instructional video
I mean it's hardly rocket science, I bet must could make better than the majority of takeaways. And you can even buy in ready made pizza dough and it will still be significantly cheaper than bought in.
Kids enjoy making their own and prob costs £1 a pizza at absolute max.
Do you also have the peel and carry case?
Considering getting one but I don't have much storage space and the cost seems quite high
That old chestnut. I like the discussion, happy to be influenced, and yet to happen so thanks for you interest.
'Most could make them better than takeaways' (edited)
At this moment a total waste of money. (edited)
taken from my manual if it helps
Had great experience with customer services and they have a great warranty. You've paid for it so take advantage
Good luck 🏻
Cheers mate. Will have another crack this weekend
Yes, I normally get mine from Homebase
thanks, so something like this will do.
homebase.co.uk/gas…tml
might well go for the dual fuel try the wood or are gas bottles always this expensive.
