Don't worry about deleting the comment, the pun was too great to ignore for Hotuk community

These sheds are decent, however the early on models had issues where the hinges snapped or cracked off easily and even the main lids locking clip but keter fixed this and made a more flexible and durable material, I have the original 1st gen of these.

Keter has excellent customer services sent me out twice the hinges and locks but the new ones now last.

I made the mistake at first of putting this directly in the back garden where the sun was blasting it, Do not do this! Its plastic
so its going to warp otherwise, my doors are slightly warped so don't close now but requires bit of push. So store this Keter
    in a shaded cool place.

Otherwise Its fine, took an hour to put together on my own and was worth it, but always go for the biggest these get filled up
    very quickly with crap.

No idea, my partner preferred the colour of the ace and also that it slopped back instead of forward.

Wickes has the Max for £130 at the moment for anyone that wants that one instead.

Bought this from wicks a few weeks ago at the same price I think. It's not waterproof but due to the way it is designed it doesn't let water in if that makes sense. We've had a fair amount of rain and its stayed completely dry inside.

Easier to build as a two person job but I did it alone and it was fine, very simple to build but use a powered screwdriver.

Without shelves in it is a little rickety but not overly so, it would be incredibly rigid if you put some in.

    I'm really happy with it

They are ok but don't confuse this model with the slightly bigger (1200l capacity) but much better built Max model.

whats the difference between the max and ace then as both are 1200l, is there a quality difference?

Looks like the Ace has replaced the Max. I can't believe how much these have gone up in price over the last couple of years, or so. I bought my two Max for just over £100 for the pair. Admittedly that was almost seven years ago but they are still going strong. I have just checked the order and that was from Homebase too.

Excellent dealAnyone know if two cycles will fit in the max?

Only if they are children's bikes. One adult bike would fit in, but only if you removed the front wheel first. You need the Ultra model if you want it for bike storage.

However, I would never store anything too valuable in these. You can use a padlock to give some small level of security but a determined thief could easily get in by breaking one, or more of the panels.

Can anyone comment how manageable this is getting into the back of a car? Obviously I'm talking about it's flat pack state. Assuming the back panel is one piece it's gonna be fairly big. If the back panel folds then I think it's doable for me, but I'd rather not show up and then be disappointed that I can't get it in.

I got two of these delivered. One was cracked on the hinge, sent a photo to Keter, no reply. To return I must return as new - or they will deduct money for any damage!!! It was damaged on arrival! And I would have to dismantle too - not easy. Reviews mention damaged items being delivered, I can agree with that in my case.

Guessing the bluelight 10% off over £120 code is applying and you're having issues with the zip checkout?

First time I attempted to checkout with zip it sent a £0 transaction through to my Halifax, I approved it and then it went transaction failed. Tried a second time and the £0 went through. Bit later a £37 transaction (first zip payment) come through.

Hmmm only thing I could of would be signing up for zip with the zip app from the play store (so you know you have a working account) and then clicking through to homebase from within their app? play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.zip.international

I downloaded the app as I wanted to track payments. The log in was my mobile number which then sends a code.

I could never find replacement hinges? Can you let me know where from?

Well I messaged Keter via their website here:

    keter.com/uk_…act

I did not have my receipt or details but if you unscrew the hinges or bits that are bad there should be a number on the inside (my hinges were SH1) so I asked for left and right hinges and they just sent me 2 packs.

This was few years ago mind you, it appears there customer service might be hit and miss going by few post above sadly.

But give them a message and try.

Edit also checked on ebay and found them for sale here: Or search on ebay: -x2 Replacement Hinges for Keter store it out xl SH1, SH2 & SH3 FREE POSTAGE NEW

    ebay.co.uk/itm…GQW

Also the lock is available here:

That is pretty shoddy, check my post above regarding hinges and bits you can at least buy them from ebay it appears
not that you should have to but iffy situation also.

I did spot on keter support site they are swarmed for some reason and backlogged, maybe lack of staff who knows they might get back to you at a later time. In my case I heard no response and just got a box shoved into my letter box with the hinges 2-3 months after the email.

What you might also want to do it go back to the store or ask the retailer and ask to speak to an manager and explain to them there's no response from keter and I cant undo the shed now since it took a whole day to do, they might just pinch the hinges from another box with some luck.
