Is this the type of drawers people plop a kitchen counter worktop on a pair of these & make a smart looking desk?

im assuming this is metal? i'd favour wood drawers just because easier to drill through. anyone got tips on best way to to then secure the worktop to the cabinet? just strong screws?

It's wood (flatpack MDF type wood)

Delivery is expensive, a 60cm kitchen door is £2.99 via DPD but if you get a 100cm door it jumps to £50 for home delivery via a dedicated van. Shame the collection point for the specific kitchen range is in Aberdeen only...

Hm, that's annoying, just bought the 5-drawer version (not discounted) a week ago for £70.

Still £70 today so the price hasn't changed. If it had, IKEA offer a 45 day price promise.

If you haven't assembled it you can still return it for a refund if you want to swap

I was just about to buy this last week, but paying a £50 delivery again isn't something I'm willing to do. I have an Alex/kitchen countertop desk. Storage so useful, but really need one more with a big draw for my Logitech wheel.

    £80 on checkout (edited)

Last order from ikea. I ordered 2 sets of drawers. 1 was delivered. I selected redeliver for the other one every day for about 2 weeks with dpd. Nothing else was delivered. I was passed between ikea and dpd. It turns out it was lost. Eventually sorted, but both units have a little damage - but at this point I didn't want anything to do with IKEA or dpd.

This cheaper top be okay or not strong enough and worth paying the extra £100 ?

Adding to cart shows the full price - I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong here?

You logged in with the IKEA family card?

Shows full price if not logged in and even says login to get a discount (edited)

Bought one at the Tottenham store on 17th August at the discount price of £39. Not sure whether this was specific to Tottenham, which is closing at the end of the month.
