I was really trying to find an excuse to buy this yesterday since after CompleteSavings cashback it'll be £257.

However, decided to save up for a full size Vewlix/Chewlix to convert to a multicade.

Several things to note before getting this machine:


1) this is the non-lit marquee model
2) the protruding marquee (more than usual) will block the top edge of the visible screen if you're 5ft8 or taller and standing, so it is best played seated like all arcade1up
3) the control panel is lower than the left side panel so you might start rubbing against that if you like to play with your wrist rested on the playing surface. This might cause the side panel to delaminate

However if you want to collect many arcades in order to experience the cacophony of many arcade machines from your youth then this is a must. (edited)

Good price for sure.

However, it’s worth knowing that this wave of legacy cabinets are widely regarded as some of Arcade1up’s poorest due to poor cabinet design.

1.  the raised lip around the control panel can render your hand numb after a short time playing (unless you have tiny hands).

2. the marquee and screen viewing angles aren’t great due to the exaggerated ‘flying wings’ aesthetic they went for on the cabinet sides.

These ‘problems’ were somewhat addressed in the cabinet’s replacements - e.g.  Arcade1up’s Capcom Legacy  ’Yoga Flame’ Edition.

Im interested but it doesnt mention that its a light up marquee. Its seems smyths are the only ones who have the light up marquee..

Does anyone make proper full size arcade replicas? Ie don’t need a riser?

Give me a buzz when you guys decide to list these for reduced prices on Facebook marketplace and Gumtree because you'll only play it the one time and never touch again. But seriously, these things will just end up taking up space in the house.

I have the MK one of these and everywhere I look online, it says it has 12 games, notably paperboy (loved paperboy) but mine seems to only have MK1,2&3 - Do I have a different machine? As they all look the same. Kinda want the SF one and maybe a Turtles (and then a 4th for just retro pie)
