    Check your area to make sure its not over sold in, this has been a major issue along with poor quality of connection in recent years.

    90% of problems with Virgin is the WiFi and Routing side of there hub.

    If you go into the menu, stick it in Modem only mode and then connect your own router to it. This will solve most issues

    I just signed up for the same deal for £26p/m (M125 + Phone on an 18m contract) and still waiting for cashback (£110) to track through quidco yet. I have submitted a claim for the cashback but i have been informed it could take up to 6m to resolve.

    Service is due to be activated on 30th dec (self install).

    Any advice? Shall i cancel (as still within 14d cooling off period) and purchase this deal instead as it appears to be much cheaper over the 18m contract duration..... (edited)

    I had done the same thing, I just called Virgin and told them I want to swap across and they did it all I’ve the phone. They didn’t have to cancel my previous order just updated package and price

    Hi,

    How is £474.80 worked out? I calculated this way:
    23.95 * 18 = £431.10

    With £100 bill credit, that is
    £431.10 - £100 = 331.10.

    My current £59 a month package is ending so they’ve upped it by another £20 a month. Been on the phone an hour to retentions department today and the lowest they’d go was 46 and halving my internet speed. I stuck to my guns and asked for a disconnection date….they then hung up

    I signed up to this yesterday, then decided after reading reviews about virgin to cancel today. Spent an hour on the phone being passed to 3 different departments & having to explain 3 times that all I wanted to do was cancel & it shouldn't be this hard. So glad I've cancelled now, after seeing how hard it is for them to deal with the simplest of things!!

    I renewed last Tuesday - £23 for just 50Mbps. I tried to get them to match this deal and after many painful attempts to contact them, they refused to budge and so I just proceeded with giving them 30 days notice to leave.

    There is £30 manned installation charge. My brother got ghos offer months ago and going the circle but they wouldn't cancel the manned charge.

    The manned installation is sometimes mandatory if the property hasn't seen service in many years.

    It's better to get engineer and a working service rather than waiting 3 weeks after equipment has arrived

    my contract had ended and went up to £54 a month (M125). Gave my 30 days notice yesterday.
    This morning received a phone call (newcastle call centre) and after a little haggling, got them down to £18 a month contract, boosted my speed to M250, thrown in a wifi booster and some kind of increase to the phone package (wasn't really listening to that part, we don't even have a phone anymore!)
