May I be the first one to say good luck using 100gb of data on 02 truly the slowest network I've ever used

All network coverage depends on where you live and travel around

I used to be with Virgin and found it great, but as soon as they bought O2 and i was migrated to the O2 network the signal was terrible. And their support just kept telling me it can get very busy in your area and there is nothing they can do as the masts are oversubscribed.

Heated as this is decent enough with rollover on a 30 day contract, for people who wish to avoid Three, although I'll suspect this is subject to RPI + 3.9% increase each year like mother O2 so worth being aware of.

For my part - I can't. O2 in it's defence has attempted to upgrade it's service here, 5G on all masts and so on. Problem is they don't have enough masts covering the area and the masts there are are oversubscribed and it shows. When you add in sunshine and people descending on the area for a visit then the network just grinds to a halt (yep, 5G included) which is... Yeah. Vodafone is worse, so for working mobile service the choice here is EE or Three.

O2 might be ok for some. But I'd very wary about signing up to a contract with these nowadays. This being 30 days is easy enough to get out of however, but their network coverage is now awful.

I was on virgin mobile for years, until the O2 merger, and literally overnight my mobile became close to unusable. And I travel a fair bit daily albeit around the northwest of England.

This might be ok for some, but until they can sort out their network capabilities, the amount of users they have these days must be crippling their masts.

Says 30 day sim, so assuming it's a 30 day rolling contract with Virgin mobile, but happens when you are moved over to O2 in the next few months?
Does it continue as a 30 day rolling or become a 12 month contract, as I don't think O2 do 30 day contracts (edited)

50433753-6rvoA.jpgYes I can confirm when you move over to O2 they double your data and keep you on a rolling contract.

Was on virgin had a great time. My god o2 is the absolute worst. I lose signal in populated areas. I've been literally camping in the middle of nowhere and had signal with virgin (& EE). Worst mistake of my recent life switching to o2. God help those now they've merged.

    Idk what's worse, o2 or 3 network

O2 is the worst, I have been with three as well. Trying to cancel my contract with O2 after I switched over last week. O2 customer service is a nightmare as well. Was on the phone for over an hour earlier today 😡 (edited)

You wait till 3 merge with Vodafone. They’ll close half of Vodafone masts down. If the British regulators allow that it is a biggest mistake they’ll make. Sky should buy 3 and rebrand it.

They are anti consumer if they ever allow that to happen

O2 is the worst mobile network for coverage and speed. Avoid these deals if you can. These are cheap for a reason. I learnt it hard way 😔

These Virgin / 02 deals are a scam. Within months they raise the prices. Only Lebara don't raise they prices once you join them.

Will this work in an o2 mobile broadband dongle?
