Something people should be aware of is the difficulty in getting Huawei to honour any of their warranties. They will usually flat out reject any valid warranties.
Despite even being well under a 2 or 3 year warranty, they will likely reject with their poor excuse "wear and tear" not being covered in their warrantys.
So if your phone/watch/device's button or strap or anything else falls off or loosens or malfunctions (due to their poor workmanship etc) then they will blame this on the customer as "wear and tear" and will not honour their warranty.
Speaking from personal experience and also from friends who have had these sort of shenanigans happen to them. (edited)

That's good to know, thanks for sharing.
I've read also that Huwaei was supposed to release the HarmonyOS on the GT2 models too, but they haven't done that so far, and most probably will never do that.

Is the warranty directly from CEX in this deal?

Can anyone confirm if Spotify works on this? Thanks
    Welliesorter's avatar
Depends what you mean. Can you install Spotify on the watch? No.

Can you use the watch to play, pause, skip forward or back or adjust the volume in the Spotify app on your phone? Yes.

This works with every media player app that I’ve tried.

You can also store some music on the watch itself but the process is a faff and quite slow as you have to transfer MP3 files from your phone using Bluetooth.

Brilliant watch. Brought one in November and I'm super impressed

Battery is great, on my 2nd now, 1st one after 2 years+ ended up unresponsive on the screen, grabbed another as I just couldn't see what to get better for the money and even 300 range, usually meant very little extra, or bad battery.

    Hot from mr 🏼

    About 5 days

I wear this watch and have done for about 9 months now, had it paired up with my P30 Pro using the huawei health app.

For anyone wanting to buy one, you can install the huawei health app on a non Huawei phone using an APK file and it will run properly. ( You will need this to get the most from your phone, pretty useless otherwise )

I have done this recently when I installed the APK onto an Oppo phone and it works like it does on the Huawei phones and it updates too.

Great watch, able to swim with it and it measures swimming pretty accurately too. It doesn't do watch payments as it has no NFC but that isn't a big deal for me as it drives me mad seeing people pay for things with a watch

You can install loads of customary watch faces off the Health app too, loads free of charge, some paid for, mine is installed with the porsche design watch face and it looks great. The phone also has notifications from texts, whatsapp, email etc and you can make phone calls with it. Pretty customisable too.

Battery life is quite good too, it's not what it says officially though, I get around 6-7 days on mine with it connected on bluetooth permanently.
I bought mine new off Huawei on a deal last year for around £120 x 2.

The screen is rock solid, not mark on mine either after 9 months.

Don't lose the original charger like my mrs has done, they don't charge very well off non branded chargers!!

Received a Grade B today. Awful. Lots of scratches and strap was still dirty from the last wearer.

Its a good watch, especially useful if you cant find your phone like me (as it will ring it) and also that you can make and receive calls.

Downside is fitness tracking is hit an miss - steps too high, misses lengths swimming etc

When you're up to your chest in a river wading, trying to catch fish, that feature alone is worth it's weight in gold!

Think you get 24 months warranty with this. I've got one myself, great battery life and generally a good watch for the money.

Watch overall is alright. One annoying issue is the same notification popping up on the watch. Surprised to see a lot of other sports on this but not football. They have beach football for some odd reason lol

Had the original Huawei watch and liked it. Switched to the galaxy 4 classic and with this watch having better battery life again, tempted to switch back.

Any limitations over the galaxy 4? I'm using it with a Mate 20 pro btw

I get around 2 weeks with the GT2 Pro vs 2 days with my new Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Can't reply to notifications, do NFC payments or use smart assistant .. that's the reasons I upgraded but the GT2 Pro is still really good, just more limited. Sapphire glass and titanium body, I've had mine for a year and not a mark on it

Believe the watch gt runner is a better buy since it seems to address some of the missing functionality of this one

According to the reviews the B grades seem to be always in good condition, anyone had a bad B grade one?

If this makes any difference to anyone considering this, it does now connect to Strava. This had passed me by, but I've connected it successfully this morning.

(This is native support, not the hacky side channel stuff)

+1 excellent. I have one myself. Battery is superb.

Had mine since last spring. Really like it. It looks really good and does what it does very well. No NFC or reply to notifications etc but that's not a deal breaker for me. Battery life is a standout. It's really well made with tough but attractive materials. Two things that annoy me are that tapping in lock screen pin is hit and miss which can be frustrating and the other is that the screen could been brighter when outside, although I have a sight condition so for most people this may not be a problem. Overall this is hot from me, especially at this price. (edited)

Fantastic watch and brilliant battery. I recently got an Apple Watch and apart from replying to messages I must admit I miss wearing this one!

Does anyone know if you can read and reply to text messages on these watches, not via voice. Thanks
    Kuzuri's avatar
Reply no , just read . Don't understand why people want tipe on a small watch,

Got one a year ago and it did not include the grey strap only the black rubber one. But otherwise mint with original box and charger

Can you download apps onto this , and can it be used with strava ?
    flyingacedude1's avatar
It's Huawei so it's banned from Googles own app store, instead you have to use the Huawei store which is very limited.

It also doesn't support a lot of the stuff you'd likely want, like Spotify / Strava / WhatsApp. Its a great watch in so many ways, really quick UI and unbelievable amounts of battery life however fairly limited in it's use, unless you're happy using Huawei Health without integration with other apps. For these reasons I just got a Garmin.

Unless you have a need to answer calls on the watch, which I never did even when I had this facility with a Samsung watch, I see no reason to upgrade from my faithful GT2e. Wireless charging is not even a draw given both watches only need charging every 12 days. I'll stick, but thanks for the heads-up

Music on board for jogs to wireless headphones or generally playing... Be surprised can be handy

I "upgraded" from the gt2 pro to a ticwatch 3 pro ultra and really miss the amazing battery life of it. Lucky to get 2 days from the ticwatch

Really disappointed with the battery life of the TW3 Pro. Had it for about 3 months now and battery life appears to be getting worse!
  27. KamalinO's avatar
Amazing price indeed. I'm still using my Huwaei band 6 and find it really good, and absolutely love the great battery life after 2 years of constant use.

Has anyone upgraded from the GT 2 PRO to the 3 PRO and can justify it? It still doesn't have NFC, I do like the fact you can reply to messages, but I don't think it's a deal breaker. (edited)
    ec9wrr's avatar
I preferred the built in watch faces of gt3 pro. The style was nicer (but subjective) of case as well.

I only used built in faces as they offer best al always on display.

The gt2 pro gave more of the appearance of a picture of a watch face whilst the gt3 pro looked more like a watch. Very subtle. Other than that no difference.

Does anyone known if these (or very similar) watch faces are available for wear OS / galaxy watch 5 pro? TIA

Can you wear these watches on your right hand and flip the screen so the buttons point towards the hand?
