What vindictive people around, deal said ‘subject to stock’, if you don’t accept that go pay full price elsewhere, it was a superb deal that had risks, you accepted the risk knowing it was a fantastic deal so have to deal with it. Unfortunately it seems they were overwhelmed after the deal was posted on here, I can’t imagine any company that closes at 6pm getting 600 unexpected orders in the last 30 min or so being able to cope, stock, manpower and shipping wise for next day, not only that but regulatory controls have to be adhered to. I got mine by noon next day, utterly amazing, WELL DONE TO THEM.

It seems HUKD was too successful and bear in mind they didn’t post the deal a member did, how about some appreciation for those of us that DID get the deal, rather than sour grapes, there will always be another deal but if your not up for the risk as I said go pay full price

IMPORTANT for those that have the iPhone 14 and use a cellular Apple watch.

The iPhone 14 can take up to 8 e-sims and ONE physical SIM, if you have your main phone number on an e-sim and add a cellular watch plan that then counts as 2 e-sims, you can only ever have 2 lines working at once on the iPhone 14 which isn't a problem at the moment, you can also add up to 8 e-sims and switch them on and off to take into account which ones you want to use.

BUT the problem arises when you put in a physical SIM like I did today to use on a cruise I'm going on tomorrow to use for a better data plan, and that is that you CANNOT have more than ONE e-sim on your phone at ANYTIME if you ALSO have a physical sim in, SO if you do as I did and put your holiday SIM in it made you delete either your watch e-sim or main phone e-sim. I contacted Apple and after speaking to 3 advisors ended up in the higher technical department and they confirmed that.

SO if you you have an e-sim as your main sim and want to have the freedom of using a physical sim then you CANNOT have any other e-sim including an Apple watch working on cellular, once you add your physical Sim and select remove say Apple watch e-sim its gone, it's not kept to be put back on bu you its deleted from the device, the only way to get it back is to contact your provider which is a pain, so be warned, but better to know now than find out later like I did as depending on usage of a physical sim it may determine your choice of Apple watch

I haven't seem that mentioned anywhere else but now you know
    adamkaty's avatar
any idea how I set up the new sim? Insert the new 3 sim, register it, transfer the old number and it should be good to go as an e-sim?

can't leave a 0/5 review. 1 star seems far too generous. (edited)

Honestly make sure to do this; they have so many bot reviews but it will definitely help anyone reading by recent (edited)

Anyone actually got a dispatch confirmation?
    Gadgetdeals's avatar
Mine is being picked, that's as good as I have at the moment, was told it would arrive tomorrow by DPD.

Has anyone looked at their welcome to 3 notice in detail?
    It's not a straightforward £14 a month contract, it's £34 with two discounts of £5 and one of £15.
This means any price increases are based on the £34 and then £5 and £15 will be discounted.
So probably a 13-14% increase, which means in April it will be £18.76 or thereabouts (assuming they apply full CPI rate) a 34% increase for those of us on £14 tariff.

Good point this needs to be discussed

Congratulations to those that got this though I’m a bit peeved that I ordered it pretty promptly at 17.40 on the 31st Jan, they took the money, passed the credit checks yesterday and it was supposed to be delivered today and I’ve now just got a Canx email saying it was an error on the website and I’ll get my money back in 3-5 days and my order has disappeared online.
    ToughLeo's avatar
did you get order complete message/email as well? I guess the cancellations may be due to extra orders when they didn't have so much stock. no reason, why they have to cancel after it has been ready for delivery! (edited)
  7. KinPiz's avatar
For those who received "a credit check has not been performed" message, was it actually true? (edited)
    Pranay420's avatar
They did a soft search on my file. There was no hard search.
  8. Kasc4185's avatar
Just got an email saying mines getting picked so definitely correct! (edited)
  9. yozzman1234's avatar
Mine arrived . Blue colour 128GB . It’s a mis-price they said . I see the 10 or so loud mouths saying you won’t get it , it’s a mis-price . No way they will honour this ect have gone very quiet . (edited)
    Vish1's avatar
Ordered today as wife’s valentine’s present. Hopefully they honour mine
  10. tommc's avatar
    This seems an unbelievable deal
    mgk's avatar
    that's because it is
  11. Leon_Hudson's avatar
Sorry to be negative but definitely a mistake. The ones who have ordered you ain’t getting nothing
    yozzman1234's avatar
Many people have said that about many deals I have had the past 10 years on this app . It’s always worth a punt . No hassle if it’s refunded. It’s not like an desperate for the money in my account
  12. shaundotdigital's avatar
I don't plan on keeping the device as I was waiting for the iPhone 15 Pro so I will be selling the device. Does anyone know if the handset is unlocked? I wouldn't want to sell with the incorrect information.
    Kasc4185's avatar
Yes it is unlocked - I have just checked my virgin sim
  13. Crana's avatar
Ordered at 12 yesterday, and it's out for delivery today by DPD.

£249 handset price, purple colour was what I went with. I can only assume I got lucky because purple is probably less popular so there was more stock? (edited)
    rooklive's avatar
I bought the purple at 10 yesterday and it was cancelled, think you just need to enjoy that luck and maybe buy a lottery ticket
  14. ibbster911's avatar
Ordered a blue one not fussed either way if I get or not as got a 13 pro max purchased outright . HUKD you’ve done it again another unnecessary purchase
Will cancel my Lebara sim paying 8pm if this comes through . If I get rejected it will save me some money anyone know if the phones will be unlocked ??
    sajidtg's avatar

    Phone will be unlocked.
It is illegal to sell locked phone now.

Wish I could order one right now. Not willing to pay that upfront price.
    sajidtg's avatar

They have £17pm and £199 Upfront
    And £22pm with £99 Upfront
Though less monthly means less April increase. (edited)

Any help with the following on the checkout page - i would like to keep my number -
    Unable to continue
Unfortunately on Three we cannot keep your existing number. If you want to keep your number you'll have to speak to their customer care team directly, alternatively you can visit our range of new contract deals on O2 or Vodafone
    Goomba...'s avatar
Yes will be unlocked. New rule came in about year ago or so - all new phones sold in UK have to be sold as unlocked.
  17. haywan's avatar
Can anyone recommend any good cases?
    Gadgetdeals's avatar
This is what I went for ESR are very good and don't yellow like others, this one has the magsafe as well, don't forget the screen protectors!

It seems anyone who ordered today got theirs cancelled. I guess you had to have ordered it yesterday
    Mohammad_Patel's avatar
I ordered mine yesterday at 6.40 and still had it cancelled. It makes no sense I can't believe it.
  19. defgimp's avatar
So, I’ve had a text to say I’m not getting mine, but no email confirmation yet?

from what I gather, this was live on the 31st and ended around lunchtime yesterday?

I got my order confirmation yesterday at 12:10.

if they were swamped with orders nearing the end of the day on the 31st, why did it take until lunchtime on the 1st to decide they couldn’t fulfil them

have bought from MPD/ao previously, several times without issue.

will wait to see how many “spam” calls I get from my details “not” being passed on/sold???

Would not recommend or advise anyone to buy any iPhones from Mobile Phones Direct. They use iPhones from different regions to either lower the price, or miss sell and don't make it clear. If you buy and then realise you've been sold one for a different region, trying to get your money back is a nightmare. Avoid like the plague.
    jase.2's avatar
Bought iphone from them before and had zero issues with fone or claimed cashback so I’d recommend them
  21. Rayleigh's avatar
To avoid the April pay increases, is it possible to PAC out and switch to another sim provider straightaway e.g. Lebara? By doing this will you pay the remaining cost of the 24 month contract straightaway?
  22. Gadgetdeals's avatar
It's back for £1,249 with unlimited data this time if anyone needs one once they have woken up 1 - 2 weeks delay as apparently they sold quite a few on the last 18hrs

    49451214-zp3I9.jpg (edited)
    xiaoxigua's avatar
They sold nearly 600 in 4 hours in this morning.
  23. whohasmyname's avatar
Trying to checkout and have ticked the box to say I want to leave my current network. This stops the order.

Can I just leave that bit out and give them a pac code from my current provider when it comes?
    starbase37's avatar
You can get a pac code instantly via text message, text 'PAC' to 65075
  24. richard.thorpe's avatar
Great deal! Just tried but can’t switch and keep number from 02 so have to pass
    sajidtg's avatar
    Author
I am sure you can do that later - you can request PAC from O2 and give it to Three once your contract is up and running.
  25. joshbhav's avatar
Since 'Leaving Network' issue mentioned above, called the customer service, she confirmed the deal is genuine, ordered over the phone, got confirmation email- says Pending. (If approved, I missed the TCB of £34).
    Kasc4185's avatar
what did that bit actually mean then please - I ignored it and thought worry later lol
  26. crassness's avatar
Thanks op, any good deals on iPhone 14 pro thnx

14 pro max is £1293 with 100gb three Data.
That's the best available at the mo

Looking for a deal for iPhone 14 pro or pro max on contract
    Barboo's avatar
They’ve been struggling to keep up with the demand for the 14 pro which is keeping the prices high at the minute, hoping some good deals come in the next few months when I’m due for upgrade.
  28. Nicerboy's avatar
So the warehouse status still shows the order as ‘pending’. Anyone got an order not still showing pending?
    Jeffs78's avatar
Mine is still showing as pending but just received the "were expecting your parcel" email from DPD! WooHoo!!!
  29. v5535's avatar
Received confirmation 7pm no further update
    amuXars's avatar
I got the confirmation email at 6:45pm and order is still pending with no further update. Starting to lose hope
  30. majorwedgy666's avatar
Possibly the most underwhelming iPhone release in living memory, so not a surprise selling cheap
    Gadgetdeals's avatar
Perhaps if you had a 13 before but for someone coming up from lower an absolute bargain.
  31. Lolexp's avatar
Any idea how much this will actually cost? I know it says £585 but there will be a price increase each April right?
    Splashmo's avatar
£14*1.14 for year 2023 is £16. Then assuming similar rise next year it's £18.25 a month from April 2024.

    Year 1 - £192
    Year 2 - £219
    Phone Cost - £249.99
Total Cost: £660.99 (current iPhone RRP on Apple is £849)
Average monthly cost over duration of contract: £27.50

I know the maths ain't perfect and rounded some things up, but you get the idea. (edited)
  32. perko81's avatar
just rang them and they confirmed its now been pulled. was a flash deal for a few hours last night.
    Gadgetdeals's avatar
I did say that last night but was shot down by the doom mongers who knew better, hope they are enjoying the humble pie now
  33. just-harry's avatar
I had an opportunity to buy but kept getting the message
'Your address details given may not match the address registered with your bank'

    Don't understand why.
    FatherTed's avatar
Keep trying. I had to try about 20 times yesterday and tried a different bank account as well.

Eventually it just worked, Maybe their system is getting overloaded.
  34. imcheap69's avatar
How do you get the £35 Topcashback?
    Wopps's avatar
Go to the website and search “mobile phones direct” then click the “handset” offer. It will send you to the website where you can make the purchase. That’s it.
  35. JJ0E's avatar
Both the blue and purple are back in stock on three contracts with next day delivery so can't have been a stock issue.
    ciggybumly's avatar
They told me on the phone, it’s not a phone stock issue, but a contract stock issue. They must have had a certain amount of the contracts available and over sold on them.
  36. jalabaster's avatar
Any chance of a similar deal in the near future I wonder? Can’t bring myself to pay RRP after this slipped through the net
    adamkaty's avatar
honestly don't even look at the 14. it's almost exactly the same as the 13. I'd wait for the next one or get an older model.
  37. mgk's avatar
You can ask MPD to reverse off your hard credit search if you are that bothered - but it is probably very minor on your credit score unless you are really border line on applications.

Soft searches dont mean anything - do a quote on Moneysupermarket and you end up with 10-20 soft searches
    MrBeginner's avatar
Apparently hard searches cannot be reversed unless the company wants to and is prepared to put some work into it otherwise they stay on your record for 2 years. Also I don’t think they are minor as if you have more than 2 in 6months this can impair ability to get other credit etc.

Doesn’t seem all worth it for a phone to save £400-500 (edited)
  38. Ali2021's avatar
This is good and hopefully Apple think twice before increasing the price for the 15 models.

The increase this year was £150 extra for the 14 pro max compared to the 13 pro max which was ridiculous.
  39. edhjedwdwg's avatar
what you doing with sim plan which you don't need.
    bigtam1's avatar
use it for dual sim on the phone. I am using the three sim for the 100GB data and using my EE sim for calls texts and reduced to lowest tarrif on there
  40. dumplingwrestler's avatar
My o2 contract is until September. Do I simply request a pac code then and switch over to this sim? Do I need to activate or do something with this Three sim now?
    amico's avatar
Don't switch to 3 from O2 . if you switch to 3 now, Then you need to pay early termination contract FEE to O2.
So wait till August and give (30days before your contract) termination notice to O2. You can use 3 as 2nd SIM till your end of contract.
    * PAC is valid 30 days only.
