I broke down and the RAC took 5 hours to come. Not sure it's worth it at any price.

RAC are awful - like actual wasters. Will be going elsewhere on renewal.

I'd recommend Green Flag. Came out to us within 15 minutes when I needed them the other week.

Is there anyone that has used them recently and the RAC came out to you in a reasonable time, say within an hour?

I keep seeing a lot of complaints recently, which company would people recommend as an alternative?

Few weeks ago it took them just over a hour to answer the call followed by a estimated time of 3 to 4 hours for rescue. Fortunately whilst I was making other arrangements to save myself from the cold the recovery driver called and came within an hour to recover.

It’s not really 50% off if you are using your Tesco vouchers as they have monitory value

You need to have vouchers first.

    I did this process yesterday.
Worth noting that if you go through the RAC website they are offering the discount and if you take out the Complete cover you get a free MOT.
If you goto the RAC via the Tesco Clubcard or the Topcashback Link, the MOT offer is missing.
Still a good use of Clubcard vouchers, so heat added.

Read the reviews of RAC before your purchase as they have really gone down hill.

    Handbrake probably needs adjusting.

They will call you relentlessly to renew once your cover has expired. I had to tell them I had died for them to stop...

Never had a call from them, maybe you didn't untick the boxes for communication? (edited)

It's 50% PLUS any additional vouchers you have

Yikes, they are mega expensive then

Clubcard vouchers can be worth upto 3 times the value, so it's not really £19.50 it's £58.50.

Thanks for posting this deal . It was just in time for my RAC breakdown renewal and Tesco Clubcard vouchers some of which were expiring at the end of the month.
