What to do if my contract doesnt end for another 2 Months?
    phil.willis's avatar
    Don't rush.

This is a persistent deal from Vodafone. It's always available through Mobiles.co.uk or e2save.co.uk.

It fluctuates in price from time to time from £7/pm to £9/pm.

I'm on my third deal (first started in November 2020)...that's how long this deal (or similar deals) have been around.

I'd try start timing your contracts so you start after April CPI increase where possible, this offer has been on for lasts 2-3yrs now as I've kept upgrading to it.

Lowest I seen is £6.50ish but sucks mobiles still don't do bank transfers and have to wait for cheque (edited)

How easy is it to get an Esim on this? (edited)
    afn's avatar
Very easy through my Vodafone and they email you the QR code instantly. I was on same deal but bought a new 3 contract as they have 5G in my area now where Vodafone doesn’t. So I changed my Vodafone contract to an eSIM and put my 3 physical SIM in my iPhone so I had a dual SIM and 2 numbers until my Vodafone number ported over. 3 have only just started to do eSIM and only on certain tariffs so still have to use a physical SIM with them for now. This is way too complicated IMO, they're relying on you to forget to claim
    phil.willis's avatar
This is not even remotely complicated.

It takes less than 3 minutes to log into Vodafone, download a bill, then upload it for a cashback claim. It's probably less than 14 thumb presses on my phone using the Vodafone app and having a password manager set up for the cashback website.

How hard is it to put a reminder in your phone calendar once every two months? To then spend a meagre 3 minutes doing the claim process. (edited)

I've said this in the comments but I've been on this deal for 2.5 years now.

I get 5G signal in my area and Vodafone coverage is strong. It's hard for any other SIM provider to really compete with this price for me.

    I can't recommend this enough.

If more data is something people need. They sometimes do a 200GB version of this deal for £9/pm.
    afn's avatar
My mate managed to bag the 200GB for £7 and £10 Tesco voucher a few months ago. He thought it was too good to be true as been paying a lot more for a lot less data all these years direct with Vodafone. I’ve been on these types of deals for the last 3 years and as long as you set a reminder in your calendar to claim the cashback it’s seamless. (edited)

How would I go about this upgrade deal with being on Vodafone already, and technically 'out of contract'

Plus you get to join Very me which is giving back around £5 to £10 in freebies at the moment, mainly Costa or Morrisons vouchers thou once the deal is posted the deal thread starts to be like a car boot sale and you can swap your Very Me usually for Cafe Nero stamped cards or something similar.
  8. uk3g's avatar
Been using these types of deals for 3 years and very easy to claim your Cashback. E2save exactly the same deal on at the moment but plus £20 Cashback from Quidco.

I still struggle to understand Vodafones advertised "2mb/10mb" data speed restrictions on diff price plans... not sure which one this would be
    afn's avatar
There are only speed restrictions on certain unlimited data plans. No restrictions on this plan.

Any way to go about it if I want a new contract?
    afn's avatar
£7.50 here hotukdeals.com/sha…350 looks like link still works even tho you can’t find it on the site.

Dealing with cheques puts me off, its 2023 after all.
    afn's avatar
Most banks you can pay in a cheque using their app these days.

Thanks OP, just ordered this as was due an upgrade through Vodafone.

"Claiming your cashback couldn't be simpler. You will need to send in your mobile phone bill at months 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12"

Sounds like it most definitely could be easier!

And they send you a cheque.

    Old skool!
    uk3g's avatar
Not sure if they follow their sister site e2save. Whenever you make a Cashback claim, they send you a confirmation email. In the email it reminds you of all the months claims should be made.

Is it possible to get the discount on your Vodafone broadband if you sign up for this deal or will Vodafone only honour that if you've taken out a contract directly with them?
    afn's avatar
Pretty sure as long as you have a connection with Vodafone you get the discount regardless who was the retailer.
  15. Ilovedesign's avatar
    Does this work with topcashback?
    afn's avatar
Says on my TopCashback £10 for all cashback by redemption deals - doesn’t stipulate if that is for new connection or upgrades tho. So try it. If it declines not the end of the world.
  16. Lindanutnut's avatar
Great deal, does it include eu roaming? I can’t see it anywhere on website
    phil.willis's avatar
    It doesn't unfortunately.

Can I get a cheap PAYG voda  sim and then use this to upgrade ?
    afn's avatar
Don’t think a PAYG SIM is classed as an upgrade but you can get a new connection here mobiles.co.uk/vod…als for £8 a month for 100gb
  18. ciderno1's avatar
Thankyou, has this been any lower than £8 per month, not sure ?
    afn's avatar
Has been £7 previously for new connections but that was ages ago. £7.50 - £8 is the going rate these days.
  19. mattharvey22's avatar
    Cheers op.
Before I bite, are we 100% sure the speed isn't capped on this?
Weird that many SIM only deals from Vodafone are capped at varying speeds
    NazR-Med's avatar
I bit, and still wondering the same. Was already on the 'Vodafone Red unltd' which was ltd to 2mb speeds.. it it has since upgraded to Vodafone Red 20gb (then boosted to 100gb). But given its still a 'Red' plan I'm not too sure (edited)

Chaps, please beware, I had a vodafone 100GB contract from mobiles.co.uk from Aug 2022, and they despite claims getting approved, the cheques are not being sent out. They apparently keep having system issues. They have already sent out the cheques twice, but haven't received anything so far.
    phil.willis's avatar
    That's really odd.

I've been on this deal with Mobiles.co.uk for nearly 3 years and never had a hiccup with the cashback claims.

The only criticism I have is that it takes 4-6 weeks for the cheque to arrive post approval of the claim.

I hope you get it sorted. (edited)
