I so want to sell my 5600x to get this…..

But I never sold any PC parts and don’t want the hassle…..

Its not worth the hassle for the upgrade imo

Are there any decent priced motherboards that would do this justice? Been wanting to replace my 6700k for a while but prices just seem to have gotten completely out of hand.

My Asus ROG Strix B550-F (WiFi) would take this, and I'm sure any B550 would.

If you need multiple Gen 4 M.2 drives, then get X570.

i think it will stay around 300 until april when the 7800x3d drops. then 'hopefully' it will drop to around 250 but thats being hopeful

You guys hold until tech is dated.

"I'd wait until _____ comes out. Prices will drop in a few months"

Don't hold. If you can afford it. Buy it.

It really does seem like a decent bit of kit! But the benefits are gained from such a massive GPU that I doubt I'll ever see much benefit - I'm happily gaming at 1440p and can only afford a 3070 ti so I think my 3600 will do...
    Masfar's avatar
Surely the 3600 is bottlenecking the 3070 by quite a lot? I have a RX580 (I know laughable) and its sitting at 40% usage with my 3600 at 90%. If I had a 3070ti I would 100% invest in this maybe in 3 months time.

    Worth it over a 5600 with a 3060Ti at 1440p? (edited)
    Guardsmon's avatar
    Not really no

    Must. Resist. Upgrade.

    From 5600x, paireed with 3080ti / 1440 170hz monitor
  13. PopBot's avatar
Some will say yes. Let's face it it's a very personal choice. Is it worth it to you? And only you. What games you play, the monitor, the GPU. The resolution, What FPS you require to be happy. Remember that those benchmark results were with a 3090ti.

    Very interesting video though. (edited)
