sorted byOP, do you know if the speeds are limited at all? I know some MVNOs have lower speeds than if you got a SIM directly from the main network. Currently getting around 150 Mbps with my EE SIM, and I'd like to continue to get around that speed
Example from last week
People comparing it to deals on other networks or with fewer features and getting confused. This needs to be compared to EE deals directly.
It is a good price for what you get. (edited)
SIM is activated.
Immediate concern is that my data speeds on 1p Mobile SIM (which shows up as "1p" on my phone) seem to be lower than they were on the EE SIM I played with last week.
The other concern I have - if anyone can answer - I'm on Android and need a visual voicemail service which is why I've been using Hullomail for years.
Unfortunately Hullomail doesn't have a profile for intercepting 1pMobile voicemail, only EE proper, and the profile entries it has for "other" network MVNO's state non-compatibility which leaves me thinking if I migrate my GG phone number to 1p Mobile as planned, I lose Hullomail access...
Anyone have experience of this can tell me what to do and if this will work or have I spaffed my £20 on a downgraded version of EE?
Thanks.
Unfortunately if it looks too good to be true it usually is in some regard.
So I'm either stuck with O2/GiffGaff which doesn't let me use MMS's on an S23 Ultra... or 1pMobile which can't manage modern voicemail... or EE direct which wants me to sign over a kidney to get a competitive service and then wants extra to let me use my expensive contract in the EU.
Gawd in heaven... how hard can it be to just put a competent modern service together for a reasonable price. Yikes!
Asked 1pMobile for a refund and hoping they're not just bandits...
3/Smarty are terrible - I left them after their network just got worse and worse.
Central manchester next to a three shop and get a poor signal, however the worst thing is having full signal and data is just unresponsive. (edited)
1p is cheaper than Popit at all price points.
For anyone wanting EE, this is probably the cheapest full feature offering out there.
Reasons?
1. The don't support shortcodes, so when I get a text from my CC provider saying that my use was suspicious (like ordering from Xiaomi's website), and reply to the text by answering Yes or No via shortcode - I can't I have to call them, and fight the call queue.
2. They don't have 800mhz band, so I have no signal in most shopping malls.
Don't have too much of an issue with Plusnet, but I'm going to move away.
