Incredible
Manufacturing date of 09/03/2023 super fresh
(edited)
There are quite a few 7o pro gen 8 vids, and it is very similar, just a bit smaller and cheaper.
Its funny how I see many recent vids, for the gen7, seems like most of the reviewers didn't realize the gen8 was coming out

Also used TCB which amazingly cleared within an hour too, which got me another 3.15% cashback on this. Bonus!

Not really worth the upgrade. (edited)
More of a decision between the two on which to buy.
Pity Gen 8 isn't available yet for AMD since 7845HX is highly rated yet more power efficient than Intel. (edited)
But the 13700HX looks very good, so many cores/threads, and upgrading isn't the same issue with laptops.
Also, for my uses, it is spending most of its life plugged in
The release of gen 8 seems to have caught many people by surprise, even reviews from a month or so ago are about the gen7
Does it come without windows? I don't want windows
Why is it much more expensive if you build it yourself with the same specs? (edited)

For a bit more they can also get the 7i, with the 13900HX, for £2200 - 15%
When I boot it says
EFI PXE Network boot failed
13700-hx, 32gb ram, 1TB SSD, RTX 4060
I would have hoped that people had checked that they were getting an OS before ordering! Or at least know what "no OS" means. I can't see how they can claim to be unhappy when the fault was with them not reading properly
What was the rest you were saying?
Dont ask me how because I have forgot but I have done it before.
I'm installing Windows 11, the touch-pad is not working during the Windows installation and I don't have a wired mouse, great.
Did this happen to anyone else? The touchpad worked seamlessly on all my previous Lenovo laptops.
This is the high end version of Lenovos laptops btw, the budget line of gaming laptops is the ideapad gaming line (edited)
Might as well just use Cloud gaming instead?
Would you cancel it and get this one instead?
It's better to sell the laptop at a lower price at let users install whatever OS they want.
Lenovo made the right call here, I'm so glad I got this deal.
Thanks OP!
NO OS - So use your own USB.
I'm currently installing but mouse pad isn't working on Windows 11 install screen and now Wifi isn't showing when on the Network connection screen on Setup (only Ethernet).
EDIT - Once windows is installed and logged in, mousepad works and wifi works. Doesnt seem to work in setup though!
EDIT 2 - Looks like battery life is around 100 mins from 100% just setting up windows, no GPU intensive stuff. Thought it would be longer than that ? (Battery saver on) (edited)
I am now 1600 quid poorer!
Also 5% tracked with quidco
