Smaller bed than the CREALITY 3D ENDER 3 S1 but with I believe the same Sprite direct drive extruder the CREALITY 3D SERMOON V1 PRO seems like a pretty good deal at this price.
Last week I was looking to get my first 3D printer and for price and online knowledge base I decided to go for Creality and ordered the SERMOON V1 PRO (at a slightly higher price than this deal), it arrived yesterday evening and it it was easy to set up and has completed several prints without issue.
Its almost plug and play but whilst my bed seems well aligned it doesn't have auto levelling so if I do need to adjust the bed in the future I will have to use their semi auto method.
Whilst I accept there are higher spec printers with larger beds etc I like the form factor on this one and so far (very early days) I'm amazed at what it can do.

Currently at £249 but code TECH-5OFF-NOW might bring it down to £236.55

I'm totally new to 3D printing so can't comment on how it compares to others or give any advise.

Interesting you didn’t start out with the Ender 3 - this is the go-to starter printer usually.

Yes, but an Ender 3 isn't ready to go out of the box. This looks great for those starting out who want a hassle-free introduction. I've currently spent £145 on my Ender 3 v2, including the printer and upgrades so despite the extra £100, I can certainly see the appeal of this printer. Nice find!

Bought my ender 3 S1 from a deal on here as our first printer and love it. Excellent results. Not upgraded anything, just used several different filaments with the esun pla+ being a reliable favourite. The good thing is that my children know how to safely use it now too from finding a file with thingyverse , slicing it, copying it to the memory card then getting the printer ready and printing plus tweaking any settings as it's going.
    Formidable!!!

Same here, got the Ender 3 S1 and haven't upgraded any part of it, but still printed some fab items.

I only found out about this after about 6 months....

In the slicing programme, you need to go the code section and add a code to say that the machine has auto leveling and to use that data for the bed. Otherwise it doesn't take that into account and this bed is flat for each print.

Just incase you didn't realise the specs this is tiny 175mm x 175mm x 165mm

personally i would recommend a bigger build plate from the off and gone with at least 235 x 235 x 300 (ender 3 v2 etc) you will instantly regret not being able to print the larger objects once you get hooked

I have the Ender 5 pro which I've recently upgraded with a Bigtreetech board and touchscreen

my son wanted a small Mjölnir hammer to go with some other mini marvel stuff I've printed

I really like the look of this... If it were bigger I'd look to upgrade my ender 3 to this (would allow me to get rid of my enclosure)

Yes agree really a nice looking machine

Nice one but super small build volume and when you get used to it and start loving 3D printer it will not be enough for most of prints.. I have something similar for small prints but a bit more advanced as it have an app which you can design and print your own toys like cars and robots which you can fit with engines etc (a bit like Lego Technic) and control using phone.

What's the app that you use?

Does this come with a reel of filament?
    beetle_bum's avatar
I read a review that said it came with a sample of ABS filament, which can be tricky to print
  8. Dave_dave69's avatar
where do you put the filament spool?

Are these more inexpensive 3d printers good enough value for to use as a base for a busines? Are the filaments too expensive to be profitable ?

got the Ender S1 Pro a few weeks back. Its been fun trying to level it, and I have now destroyed 2 PEI mats, but in all fairness I found the Mat that I bought for the machine was better than then one that came with it.

Been great when printing, even the kids love the outputs

Although I've yet to destroy the stock bed, I've certainly made a few dints here and there from levelling.

I am looking to upgrade it though although I'm tied between a PEI (like your Ender Pro) or a Glass bed.

Will the PEI just be like my stock bed - i.e easy to dint/destroy with the hot end? I could see the Glass being much more durable as it's solid. (edited)

Kid wants to do 3d printing but i think an open bed printer is risky around kids. Is this enclosed type worth getting or not?

It will depend on the age of the children and how they are around tech, machinery, kettles and toasters.
(If they like to see how hot an oven is by using their finger rather than looking at the temperature display/gauge it would be a risk.)

I had mentioned on my post that I liked the form factor, part of that was that it was enclosed and in my mind therefore easier to place, keep clean and keep young hands away from hot and/or moving parts.
The Pro version also has the feature that can switch the machine off if the door is opened, some parts inside would still be hot but it seemed like a good idea. This feature can be switched off it's not required.
I'm sure there will be downsides with having it in an enclosure as whilst all the components look accessible it might effect how easy it is to service or maintain and it might limit what upgrades are possible in the future.
Despite the enclosure it still all looks accessible and things like the circuit board are just behind a panel so I'm not expecting issues.
There have been several comments about the bed not being the largest and that is true but for me it does everything I need whilst I try 3D printing for the first time and I feel content that it is safer than some options for the pair of young hands in this house that have so far dominated 90% of the print time.
If you are happy with an open printer then the Ender 3 S1 will have the benefit of the same print head and a larger bed so would suit many people better but for our circumstances and with younger hands in the house this one seemed the best option for us and so far (still early days) we have been delighted with Sermoon V1 Pro.
