sorted byDisplay - no issues - bright enough for any normal office, 1920x1080 native and runs up to 2650x1440 on HDMI monitor so great for 24".
for £150 for general home/work use its a really great bargain (edited)
Though one thing to note is the battery might not be great. Not checked but can probably be replaced ( though do check that) (edited)
Screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 which works perfectly well for me. I suppose it depends on what you want to use it for, but for me it is perfectly clear and bright enough, and I've never had a problem with the display. For a casual user, it's a delightful little machine, fast enough for me. The memory is not the biggest but I am now storing everything on the Cloud.
Good for browsing, emails, general MS Office use.
It was also listed as Grade B, but in fairness it was in excellent condition.
I'm absolutely delighted with mine. (edited)
Have some mega heat, OP. Thanks for posting.
I ordered one a bit cheaper than this from them last year and received a FHD one.
I also added a second SSD in the empty WWAN slot. You need a B+M keyed NVME drive, there's not a huge amount of them, Western Digital do one, but I got a 512GB Kingspec from Aliexpress which works fine, the slot only runs at PCI-E 3.0 x1 and maxed out at about 850mbps so no real advantage to splashing out on a high end one. I guess you could just upgrade the main SSD instead, but I quite like having two drives anyway.
Down the line I'll probably upgrade the wifi to a AX210 Wifi 6E card for about £15, but I don't need to atm.
Also back in stock so I've unexpired this. (edited)
Thanks
Ordered yesterday with the idea of returning if it was the 720p display, arrived today.
Excellent condition, 1080p screen, 90% battery health. Cannot complain at all so far for around £144 (with TopCashback)
The x230 just works and although the screen resolution is poor it is still nippy and does the job.
Just received mine and it's not been cleaned, the ac adaptor is faulty and reporting as underpowered and they've sent a USA layout keyboard model.
My last two orders from them were similarly underwhelming. Prior to that all were spot on.
I would definitely buy from them again, they do have have some good deals on sometimes, but its their service that sets them apart. I know others that have bought from them and had a similar, good experience
But, easy and cheap to swap for a proper UK backlit keyboard if you need one.
They should really be upfront about that. They are fine, but, not everyone would be happy about it.
Missus wants a computer just for the sims. I was looking at usff computers but maybe a laptop is a better idea considering the price.
Any recommendations? Up to £150.
If I didn't have a personal laptop already I would definitely get this.
Easily connects to other equipment through usb and usb c.
It around 10x cheaper in this deal than when it was first released!
Option/box anywhere even on checkout? Unless they have pulled it?
Cart is top right in Chrome and Firefox, both Windows and mobile versions.
Great so far
