Price drops on both these models that are a step up from the 980B versions Need the code for 55" version the 65" version is the price displayed with no need for code.

My understanding in the difference between this 1000B and the 980B is the 1000B has a Master OLED panel and the 980B is just an ordinary WRGB Panel also the 1000B comes with a swivel stand

For a true cinematic picture - Master OLED

Immersive sound quality for cinema - Cinema Surround Pro with Dolby Atmos®

Class-leading colour, contrast, clarity and Auto AI mode - HCX Pro AI Processor

More viewing choice - Smart TV (my Home Screen 7.0)

Stunning speed, resolution and motion - Game Mode Extreme

H: 771mm, W: 1227mm, D: 348mm, Weight: 19.5kg. Dimension with recommended pedestal style

I have this TV (55 inch) and a lg c2 in 48 inch. This is a better picture realistic colours excellent near black performance. At this price (it's lowest) this is a great TV to buy.

I agree the picture is outstanding on movies. It's very cinematic. It's worth the extra only areas the lg is better is for gaming and TV sound. The Panasonic sound is very clear but lacks bass but you can connect a wired sub to it that should improve things.

Anyone comment on how this would be in a bright room? Was looking at a c2 but richer sound staff recommended s95b.

s95b better in a bright room, but if it's really bright might be better with a miniled instead such as QN95B.

I’m really torn between this model

If you can afford it, go for the LZ2000B if I hadn't got such a good deal on my Sony 65" A95K the Panasonic 2000B is the one I would have bought as I think it is in the top 2 of the 2022 OLED TVs that were produced and the 2023 version is likely to be a step up on that but a lot more money than the 2022 version

Panasonic OOTB calibration for their TV's are meant to be amongst the best of any manufacturer, whether TV, Streaming or Gaming (edited)

If you're looking to spend £850 on a 2021 LG C1 would seriously consider the Panasonic at £150 more as a much better specced TV and panel

The stock pictures seems to confirm it is a Master Oled Panel on the LZ1000B compared to the LZ980B now as well and they're currently selling the 55" version for the same price on John Lewis at the moment, but the 65" LZ980B is a £100 cheaper than the LZ1000B

Really good deal for this, I believe this is the John Lewis exclusive model as well. I’ve seen it in person in store, looked great, only thing I didn’t like was the stand but thats nitpicking on my behalf. One nice thing is both Dolby vision and HDR10+

not sure if all the HDMI ports are 2.1 as it mentions input 1 & 2 and not the other two inputs

VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) (input 1 & 2)
    4K HFR (High Frame Rate ) (input 1 & 2)
    AMD Freesync Premium (input 1 & 2)

Correct, like the Sonys it only has two HDMI 2.1 inputs, the others are 2.0b.

Does this TV have Freesat? Getting some conflicting specs online. I know it has a satellite tuner, but would it have any EPG?

I don’t think this has freesat like the old  Panasonics do I think Sony have done a deal with them now
it was satellite but not epg as far as I can see as you say a lot of conflicting stuff online

Has the LZ1000B got a Master OLED panel?

I know the LZ1500B and LZ2000B does with the LZ1500B being the same panel as the 2000B but without the upgraded sound.

Having read the tech spec it appears the LZ1000B is a Master OLED whilst the 1500B and 2000B are Master OLED Pro.

    Hey it's my TV!

Superb TV tbh, the best PQ you can get. Near blacks as already stated are handled brilliantly and you don't get the crushing you might on other sets.

    Terrible OS though, comically bad.

I had rounded my options down to the LG Oled65G2 or the Samsung 65 S95b. How does this Panasonic model compare to those particular models?

Looking to use for gaming mostly and movies.

Another option is the Sony s95k as well but still over £2,000 but good question in which a lot of people would like to know, I think I would get the Panasonic lz1500 though

Why is this TV so thick at the bottom. 6.9cm. That 0ver 2.5cm's thicker than the LG's. So annoying.

You should get a Samsung, they're thin and, bonus, they're flexible too.

Is this £225 better than the C1? I only watch movies and sports and I don't care about gaming. Started with a budget of 700 and now considering TVs for 1k 🤦‍♂️

If money is a factor, get the C1.

It's an excellent TV for picture quality.
