Worth noting these are regular credits so they can be used to gift books to your 'main' audible account or gift a book the main account already owns to just transfer the credit to it

Didn't know it was possible to gift, I might try one of my mothballed amazon accounts

Worked for one of my accounts, one of the few ones where I'd not taken an audible trial!

A TIP: the link in the email they sent me offering the 3 month trial did not actually grant me the trial- I got "Promo Code Error". I had to go to Audible's home page where, weirdly, they were offering me a free 30 day trial, but if I scrolled down I could see the 3 months for 99p offer.

Almost worked for me but failed at payment stage. I’ve emailed them, let’s see what they say.

Wow it actually works for me this time!

Can I save up my three credits and use them later? Even after I cancel? (edited)

You have to redeem your credits before cancelling your membership, otherwise you'll lose them. You get to keep all purchased audio books so just get what you need before cancelling.

Thanks for heads up op, I had a 1-book to keep free trial for 30-days in 'My promotions' page here (generic link) amazon.co.uk/my-…ons, worth a look for others who missed out on this particular deal

Tried this a while back, click through the link it gave me and then it wanted to charge me. So not sure why it was on my accounts promotional page.

Got the email this morning, but apparently I cannot avail of the offer as i had used an offer ages ago. Pity.

Brilliant worked for me.. didn’t follow link and went to audible through my browser . Both 30 day trial and 99p offer were available

The offer shows for me (viewing on my phone’s browser if that makes any difference. An iPhone). Big banner popped up on the home page.

How does Audible work in a nutshell? Do I get 1 book per month and must pay for additional books, or is there a decent number of free books included in that subscription price? I have Amazon Prime, if that makes a difference.  (edited)

Standard price for all books is £8 or 1 credit.

Beyond that, there are the regular sales I mentioned above. There is one or the other on about half the time.

I think the only other deviation is, if you own the kindle books, you can usually get the audiobook cheaper. So if the kindle book is on offer for a quid, you can buy it then get the audio audiobook for another 4 quid (I don't know how consistent this is though).

If you're low on credits, you get an offer of 3 credits for £18.

If you Google, you can always find a link to an offer of 3 months at £3.99 per month, which you can sign straight back up to once that initial 3 months is done.

Every so often, when you go to cancel, audible will give you a free credit to get you to stay. You accept it, use it, and cancel anyway. This seems to work approx every six months.

That's about all of the ins and outs of audible I can think of. Of course, all of the above is subject to change. I don't think there's been a price rise in the past couple years so could be one coming at some stage.

Not sure if this worked for me or not. Clicked the offer and was charged only 99p as expected. My account however says I'll be billed £7.99 next month on the 4th May.
Gonna give customer service a call .

I always screenshot any offer these days before taking it up. Companies are forever mucking things up.

Do you still get a credit a month for each of these three months? And can the credit purchase *any* book or only a limited selection? The 30-day free Prime deal seems to allow the purchase of any single book

Hadn’t seen this on Amazon, but got it through unidays - 99p 1st month, free month 2 & 3 then £7.99 month 4. Obviously going to cancel end of month 3
  23. horizon-in's avatar
Didn’t work for me either, no decent deal on Audible for a while now
  24. DingoDirk's avatar
I think this is the current standard Audible offer that is available to almost everybody who doesn't have a current subscription.

The standard offer is available from the Audible homepage but not from the Amazon offers page.

I have just tried it with three Amazon accounts and it's available on each one.

Edit: it looks as if the offer exclusions are a current subscription, free trial or a subscription within the past twelve months as in the op. Try the Audible homepage. (edited)

Yours says it will revert to £7.99 a month at the end of the trial. It costs me £9.99 a month! That’s a bit poo
