Don't get why this is so cold. This is a good price for using the EE network.

OP, do you know if the speeds are limited at all? I know some MVNOs have lower speeds than if you got a SIM directly from the main network. Currently getting around 150 Mbps with my EE SIM, and I'd like to continue to get around that speed

Speeds are not capped on 1p (unlike a lot of current EE price plans).

    Example from last week

People comparing it to deals on other networks or with fewer features and getting confused. This needs to be compared to EE deals directly.

It is a good price for what you get. (edited)

    So I've gone for this...

    SIM is activated.

Immediate concern is that my data speeds on 1p Mobile SIM (which shows up as "1p" on my phone) seem to be lower than they were on the EE SIM I played with last week.

The other concern I have - if anyone can answer - I'm on Android and need a visual voicemail service which is why I've been using Hullomail for years.

Unfortunately Hullomail doesn't have a profile for intercepting 1pMobile voicemail, only EE proper, and the profile entries it has for "other" network MVNO's state non-compatibility which leaves me thinking if I migrate my GG phone number to 1p Mobile as planned, I lose Hullomail access...

Anyone have experience of this can tell me what to do and if this will work or have I spaffed my £20 on a downgraded version of EE?

    Thanks.

Answer my own question, yes - it seems that if you want voicemail more modern than "press 3 to hear your next message" you're right out of luck with 1pMobile.

Unfortunately if it looks too good to be true it usually is in some regard.

So I'm either stuck with O2/GiffGaff which doesn't let me use MMS's on an S23 Ultra... or 1pMobile which can't manage modern voicemail... or EE direct which wants me to sign over a kidney to get a competitive service and then wants extra to let me use my expensive contract in the EU.

Gawd in heaven... how hard can it be to just put a competent modern service together for a reasonable price. Yikes!

Asked 1pMobile for a refund and hoping they're not just bandits...

Could someone tell me what sort of 5g data speeds you get on this please? I know it’s dependant on your area but wanted to see what max speed people was getting. Cheers

Fastest I've had is 739Mbps download.

With this 1pm mobile is there any way to get the USA roaming add-on packages for the USA that EE offer?

I'm afraid not, 1pMobile just use EE's network, they don't have any other link to them.

200GB is no where near virtually unlimited. This is as cold as ice for me - especially as we've seen deals for about £16 for unlimited. Even that's too expensive.

Link please to unlimited on EE for £16?

I don't see the point of this. Smarty is better
    jason_rmh's avatar
Isn't smarty on the Three network? It obviously depends on area, but I always get good coverage when out and about with with work on EE. I never had a great experience with Three / Smarty, although their deals are appealing.

It's good value for EE, Popit is similar for 100GB

3/Smarty are terrible - I left them after their network just got worse and worse.

Central manchester next to a three shop and get a poor signal, however the worst thing is having full signal and data is just unresponsive. (edited)

1p is cheaper than Popit at all price points.

For anyone wanting EE, this is probably the cheapest full feature offering out there.

Anyone know what Plusnet are like?

Don't have too much of an issue with Plusnet, but I'm going to move away.

    Reasons?

    1. The don't support shortcodes, so when I get a text from my CC provider saying that my use was suspicious (like ordering from Xiaomi's website), and reply to the text by answering Yes or No via shortcode - I can't I have to call them, and fight the call queue.

    2. They don't have 800mhz band, so I have no signal in most shopping malls.

Hot for me - I heartily recommed these guys - have 4 rolling 1 month contracts with them now, waiting to see what happens with EE offers after the 15% price hike due this month.

I've had a 12gb plan with ee for about 7 years, was only costing about £4/month but its around £6.50 now, 4G only though. seemed to have lots of bill discounts on my account that never ended. done me well, but i agree this seems a great deal for ee network (edited)

Anyone knows if 1p Mobile gets TfL Wi-Fi now? Heard that Vodafone/Voxi recently gets it after Virgin hands their hotspots to BAI. Would’ve great if 1p also benefits from it.

I tried yesterday and it doesn’t seem to - it appears in ‘My Networks’ but if you try to join it gives an authentication error.

Ended up here after while looking at O2 deals and waiting for my Rwg sim. Don't need this one for now but I might try £10 tariff to see it's worth it
